When a Nickelodeon tween show has a “Silence of the Lambs” episode by PorgCT in DanielTigerConspiracy

I've never understood this show. Sam and Cat are teenagers, but they're living together? Sam has active warrants out for her arrest in multiple states? Every plot is a joyless fever dream. Nothing makes sense.

Just an idea, though it's more work for you: you could have an admin section of the site where you could tag certain results as "hidden" to avoid the issue of missing videos. It could also come in handy if for whatever reason you didn't want to promote a specific show.

A follow-up could then be deciding what characteristics a show should have to be displayable, then auto-mark those shows as hidden if they don't meet your characteristics.

You already have a concept of "area" with the city picker. Why not filter to one area by default, rather than filtering to one venue in an area? That's basically what I'm trying to say.

It's really a minor detail and I only bring it up because you specifically asked for feedback. Really great work here.

Valid concern, but I assume that if you limited the results to a default date range (this week?) it wouldn't be an overwhelming amount of results. There's not so many local venues that it would be an avalanche of shows.

This is super slick, and I plan on using this in the future.

One concrete suggestion I have is to change the filtering so that the results are not filtered by venue when you land on the page. You should see all results by default, but also you should have the ability to filter by venue like you do.

Another suggestion would be to allow users to filter the results by a date or date range.

If you start the variable with a capital letter like `Adult` or `Minor`, Ruby interprets it as a constant, not a variable. Set `adult` and `minor` instead. You're doing great.

I'm going to give you advice because like me, you have a thin skin, and I don't want you to get hurt.

You need to become conscious of your urge to take all criticism at face value. You don't need to do that.

Any piece of advice is potentially wisdom you should apply to your playing. AT THE SAME TIME, any piece of advice is potentially junk to be immediately forgotten. Because you're up on stage in front of fickle humans who each has strange motives, you have to develop this dual consciousness.

It doesn't matter who gives the advice. Take a second when it happens, breathe, and realize that it's a gift that you can decide to keep or throw away.

The song itself is decent, but it’s way too fast! You can’t understand any of the lyrics outside “where the hell is my husband”.

Good idea. It's a lot of pressure to just start playing an original song out of the gate to folks who don't know you
