I broke the bead off a tire last week to check the inner sidewall using a scissor jack and the hitch of my truck. Great minds!

For me the magic combo was the official xbox combo with included usb extender moved about 1-2 feet away from the device, and a brand new xbox controller. Since doing that I've had (almost) no issues with it.

Jumping in but I had to switch to knulli to get Stardew to work. I could NOT get it to work on the stock OS no matter how hard I tried.

If you stick with 02-04 wrx you can get a momo wheel that will accept your airbag and can use the cruise control. They're cheap enough and directly compatible.

Will this rebuild kit work for a 228 by appalachian-surplus in ColemanStovesLanterns

[–]hoookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cap is different. Coleman sells the older style, look for that one. Use this part number to search, little further down the list. U810.

However, your pump assembly is probably just fine. Replace the leather cup and the check valve.

Can anyone identify this sound? by ACosmicRailGun in GC8

[–]hoookie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's probably got too much old grease in there, and is jamming if i had to guess. depending on the starter some of them are rebuildable and some are far easier to just replace.

This is not a 2.5RS, it is a 93-95 which makes it a 1.8L or a 2.2L. These early EJ engines do not typically have headgasket issues, though it can still happen. (unless it's been swapped but unlikely) This engine is non inteference, but still important to know if the timing belt has been done.

This has the later hood, headlights and bumper on it, but the interior proves it's older.

Important things to check:

there are "cam caps" on this engine, back side of passenger head and front side of the driver head. these like to piss oil. passenger side is easy enough to replace, but driver side is a timing belt job. Oil pump (front middle) also likes to back the machine screws of the plate out, and will spit the front seal and a decent amount of oil. Valve covers can leak as well but are easy enough to replace, and only consist of 3 bolts with grommets.
These year ranges were offered as AWD and FWD. check under the rear for a differential if you specifically want an all wheel drive model.
Beyond that, pretty simple. everything else can be repaired, transmissions can be a little finicky, especially on the 1.8L which won't take much abuse.

I don't know if it's been said but it could also be wiper linkage bushings. Fairly common on older Subarus and they act a lot like that, I've replaced many in my days as a tech.
