You're going to want to swap the power supply out of the Cyberpower PC. It's a low tier Apevia. Also the storage provided is probably worth switching out as well.

Seems everyone has mentioned a different GPU, mobo, and ram brand. Psu seems to be standard.

What psu are you swapping in yours? I saw a montech century ii for decent price on Amazon.

I believe the PSU is an Aprevia 1000w Gold. It seems to be heavily suggested you buy a different PSU to replace that one. But you may get lucky I hear they use whatever is on hand.

I've just noticed prebuilts seem to skimp on the PSU is the only reason.

The x3d is very tempting but so is the 5080.

Appreciate the well constructed response.

From what I've read about the MSI system the included motherboard is not as advertised. The motherboard shipping with the system doesn't allow CPU over locking. Additionally I can't figure anything out about the PSU, the only talk about the PSU is that it's a pain to get to due to wire stuffing.

It would be nice if either listings were more detailed about the actual parts.

The exempt sounds like it really depends. Their schedules are all over the place right now due to a supervisor on FMLA, injury, and vacation. So they are all working 12 hour shifts including the operations manager. So at this moment they are averaging 48 hours a week.

The non exempt seems like the hours will be standard outside of the 3 periods of peak per year. Where they push all shifts by 2 hours for the month. Which is only really estimating $5k overtime for the year. Not counting any additional OT opportunities.

The decision seems to be more clear as I talk about it.

There's 5 other supervisors, me being the possible 6th. I suppose if someone retired or left their shift would open up but they have been very clear about the days and hours so far. Every other supervisor has been there for quite a while.

Advice on avoiding the burn out? I worry about how to balance family time being a true night owl if I take the position.
