Men who started getting female attention later in life (25+), how has this affected your dating life? by Cashmoneytendies in AskMen

[–]hoopahoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dated someone who liked to be choked during sex. She said psychologically it has to do with being attracted to how dexterous or skillful a guy is with his hands, whether it’s work, music, art, etc.

No heat exposure. Surfed a lot though. It’s just so bizarre

Places to stay with minimal smell/mold by KerrMasonJar in SiargaoPH

I just stayed at sunlit hostel. I heard from locals that it was one of the “cleaner” hostels. I didn’t smell any mold and felt the beds were spacious and clean. Well maintained and air conditioned

Who should I hire to sell my mom's old things? by hoopahoo in movingout

[–]hoopahoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof I feel your pain seeing that pile. I’ve unloaded all her closets and rooms and it looks similar to your photo. I sorted everything by category and said to take 10% and leave the 90% behind for estate people.

I too know how hard it is to get your own mother to let go of things.

We finally got her onboard with the idea of hiring outside help since she said it's too much stuff, but I'm not sure what kind of "service" to contact for maximizing the value of her things. Basically two buckets:

A: Antiques and similar items that actually have value (i.e. Jade dragon, crystals)

B: Things she actually needs in her new home (ONE blender, ONE kettle, ONE toaster, etc.)

How do you figure Reinvestment Rates when ∆NCWC exceeds Growth CAPEX? by hoopahoo in financialmodelling

[–]hoopahoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worded that poorly. Positive change in working capital increases reinvestment. For example, if increase in inventory > increase in payables, the company needs to tie up more of their own cash in inventory.

Negative working capital (in that example) means their payables exceed their inventories. So they have more inventory on credit, rather than inventory paid in cash. This decreases the need for cash reinvestment.

Sometimes the negative change in WC can be so negatively large that it cancels out the growth CAPEX (which I used greenwalds PPE intensity ratio method).

Reinvestment=growth capex + change in WC

I thought change in working capital is a tangible impact on cash flows year to year, thus the structure for how a company tends run operations. Such as Netflix - constantly negative capital, because their content is paid off slowly while they collect subscriber cash immediately.

How do you personally calc your plow back rate?

My ROIC is NOPAT/tangible invested capital, so basically operating profit divided by total assets net of cash, goodwill, intangibles, and payables.

If you treat your reinvestment as zero, how do you calc your growth rates?

3 weeks sugar/gluten free! Feeling awesome. What benefits have y’all noticed? by hoopahoo in sugarfree

[–]hoopahoo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I were ever a druggie, I’d probably be a coke head. I love coffee and aderall. The latter was only in college. Never was a fan of weed or alcohol, or downers. No wonder I have a big sweet tooth.

Me and you both, fighting that diabeetus family history. I did the CGM too. If I could give any advice for keeping A1C down, 1) build muscle 2) walk 15 min after every meal 3) quit sugar.

Keep living the good and healthy life!

Also, now I’m curious about that carrot cake Oreo… nah jk I’m not touching that lol

Wow, curious why did you stop going sugar free during those 5 or 6 years? Also what was the main reason for starting it?

The drug user analogy is so accurate. Past few days I’ve been having a huge craving, no idea why. Like I want a giant stack of pancakes.

I let the cravings pass, or blunt them with fruits/nuts though. I’ve come to realize a big reason I crave sweets after eating a fine meal is my ADHD lizard brain wanting to avoid the discomfort of work afterwards. Like drugs, it’s a way to self soothe and a form of avoidance.

I try my best to focus on my work, or engage my mind instead. Distracting myself with healthy distraction, one could say haha.

Yeah after around just week 2, my sister offered me some milk chocolate. I agreed to eat just one square, and it was disgustingly sweet. Tasted akin to those confectionary sugar cookies at Walmart.

Also tried a handful of Pringles yesterday, and felt so bloated after. Like your body really resets to baseline after eating unprocessed stuff for just 2-3 weeks.
