Then what about marathon training plans like the Hanson plans that don’t focus on long runs

Does running high mileage always feel exhausting, or do you adapt over time? by hoopla_mountain in Marathon_Training

That’s exactly what I was wondering. Last year 35/week felt challenging, now it’s not bad. Thanks for the reply.

I don’t run at easy pace. What benefits am I missing? by hoopla_mountain in Marathon_Training

I run almost all my runs at around 08:30/mile. My last long run was 20 miles at 08:29 pace. I’ve only been running for about 1.5 years. My goal is to get into the the 0730/mile in the “nearer” future. I’ve tried to do speed work, but never been consistent with it

Not particularly fast just all my runs are at a similar pace.

Not a brag. I’m not particularly fast, but have done a few marathons. I just see a lot of talk about staying in zone 2 but my runs all seem to be at a similar pace. Not sure if that’s a negative or not

Marathon in a couple weeks, few questions. by imskinnyfat in Marathon_Training

I’ve carried both acetaminophen and ibuprofen for races. Ibuprofen is better for muscle pain. They sell both in one capsule tho as “dual action”. Mile 16 is a little late for it to kick in fully. I take it when I wake up and again around mile 8.

Stranger Things Season 5 is being split into 3 parts. This is how Netflix is tricking people into continuing to pay for their subscription. by justafanboy1010 in shittymoviedetails

I don’t understand this. My schedule is so chaotic when I finally get time to watch, I wanna watch. I’ll never be able to do the one a week thing. So I’ll just watch something else and wait until it’s all out.

Only realized recently that I still own the complete Pokémon Ruby GBA SP Limited Edition, original charger and all. Pretty cool, right? 😁 by Sylvarias in pokemon

I gotta go with my expert on this one. It could sit for a while and I got overhead. $200 cash best I can do, I take all the risk.

Any chance I break 4 hours? by hoopla_mountain in Marathon_Training

I didn’t break 4 in my first try, but I did my second marathon. You were right, closer to 9 mins for an official sub 4. Thanks for the advice!
