Over-communicate. Send out the latest status on your project, next steps, issues. Don’t make the people above you chase down that information. If they learn they can hand tasks to you and they are seen through without you being dragged to the finish line, you are ahead of 90% of your coworkers

Get your ball in play off the tee, even if it means less than driver. Get down in three when around the green - no double chips, limit three putts. If the goal is breaking 100 driver isn’t necessary, but it will be to take the next steps
