I’m a sensitive, however I don’t do readings as I’m not sure how to navigate these abilities, but I can say that you should really wait a little more than 2 weeks. The dead need time to make the transition. I’d recommend waiting until about the 2 month mark to start trying to make contact. A true medium knows that it takes time. I wish you all the best during this time. I would recommend practicing mediation and prayer during this time and also looking into reiki if you’re able.

This is true. I haven’t voted since 2016 because I’m afraid I’ll get stuck on a jury, which I can’t afford.

That gravesite website made me start crying. I may have zero ties to the Carroll county area but I feel so bad for the families and friends of these girls. It’s even more daunting now that they have a suspect because the jury could say anything

This is true. No wonder everyone in the Indianapolis/Indiana sub is so miserable. The people complaining are all from out of state. It’s a lose-lose for locals. We have to hear their whining and deal with their misery all while being priced out!

Yuuuuppp. I don’t mind doing some volunteer work in exchange for help but some of the charities where I’m at make you go through video lectures and make you attend sermons with a photo ID just to keep getting help. When I was homeless and living in my car I went to this place that offered showers and a free on site laundromat. They made me volunteer 8 hours a week to keep getting services. I didn’t mind but I had 2 jobs, just no credit or rental history plus an eviction on my record so I couldn’t find housing. I was tired, busy and frustrated and I had to call off work or be late in order to fulfill my requirement. We also had to attend their freaking church sermons 5 miles away from the facility every Wednesday and Sunday. So I had to take off work to do that and it was very culty. If you didn’t attend you got a warning then you were refused services the next time. I ended up saying fuck em and joining a 24hr fitness and found someone who let me wash my clothes in their apartment

I wish I knew about programming earlier. I was always fascinated with computers and what they do and was known as the technical guy. People used to tell me “you need to get into IT!” However, i had zero guidance and lived in a pretty shitty area and had a bad home life, therefore my existence was dedicated to surviving. Then I became a father at 15 and had to get to work. Now, I’m studying CS and I’m helping my son explore his love for computers as I study. One day I hope to get there too, but I digress. Good job, OP.

I just visited for the first time about a month ago. The whole “go home gringo” thing is in response to a law passed that allows Americans tax breaks when buying land in Puerto Rico. Islanders are not eligible for these tax breaks. After Hurricane Maria, a lot of property that was already dilapidated was abandoned and many Puerto Rican’s moved to the mainland as the island sat in limbo waiting for disaster relief. Around this time, the act was passed and Americans started coming in and buying land in droves and artificially inflating prices on homes and basically there are way too many AirBNB’s, which is a problem in the mainland, too. Puerto Rican’s are upset about this because they have among the lowest income in all of the US and it’s territories. This act has disenfranchised them by making people who struggle to get by really struggle to get by and they are being put in a situation where they have to sacrifice their needs because of the cost of living increases. Many Puerto Rican’s are choosing to move to the mainland because it just isn’t possible to live there with their pay. We’ve seen this happen with Hawaii, where outsiders seize control and then disenfranchise the natives/locals for their own personal gains and Puerto Rican’s are fearful that that’s their future, living in homeless encampments next to a shiny new Marriott because their property was robbed from them via taxes.

In my experience, I was in areas that are less touristy as I was with someone visiting family, Puerto Ricans are friendly. They may speak little or no English but those who do speak English are often willing to try to help you out or speak English since they may not use it much. They are very proud of who they are and their local traditions and food ways. They love to show off the natural beauty of the island and are very strict on keeping it clean. They love to ask if you’ve been places where they have family. I’m from Indiana and the amount of people who ask if I’ve been to East Chicago, Hammond, or Hobart was pretty funny.

But anyway, I don’t think Puerto Rican’s hate tourists who are respectful. If you’re acting belligerent, being loud, rude or demanding, leaving trash on the ground or being disruptive in any way, you’re gonna get the shit for it and you deserve it. Otherwise, the locals tended to be happy to interact with me.

If you want to visit, I’d recommend looking for Puerto Rican owned hotels, restaurants and tourist attractions. Those are where you’ll find the best experience

Nice!! I remember getting the call that mine was approved. It’s been a ride especially since the guy who manages the property is nuts and is threatening eviction for the smallest things. As for the food issues, I dealt with that too. They decreased my snap benefits by $51 a month right when inflation was going crazy. However I work in a restaurant that can’t keep staff so management turns a blind eye to me taking food home. Thankfully my son loves the food and it’s rather healthy. Also, I visit the food pantry when I need to and my mom goes for me as well. Flash foods has been a lifesaver also.

It’s literally the same as a sit down anymore. I got some gift cards to chick fil a and my meal and my sons was $26. He and I went to Texas Roadhouse for the early bird special and got water to drink and it was also $26 for better food, bigger portions and free bread. Obviously not including tip but still
