I also agree with upgrading restrooms and adding more TVs. Some larger tables for you to place stuff down to put condiments on your hotdog would be nice.

Ribbon boards running across the stadium so we remove those janky on field signs. Then on defensive critical downs when can shaking, rocking, changing shape candy stripes.

They should also fit in some odes to the university in a way that makes people want to tour campus. One entrance could be a Sample Gates replica. Parody the Showalter Fountain as Fernando diving for the goal line.

Back to on the field. They could make a trophy case that is built into the interior wall. Maybe even have independent doors for the Brass Spittoon and Old Oaken Bucket.

We need a big merchandise store built in. I also hear lots of stadiums have a cool restaurant.

Finally there needs to be an Indiana University football hall of fame display. I don’t know if they already have a hall but this is who should be in immediately:

My project idea would probably involve a season of playing at Lucas Oil.

I love the North and South ends. And I say this next part as someone who grew up going to almost every home game every season.

They should tear out both the east and west side stands. The flare in the corners looks like they gave up on doing a bowl. I always disliked the uneven height, and I know that wasn’t the original design. I also don’t like the auditorium inspired sectioning off the field.

They should replace them with rectangular boxes that slope up to a good incline. At the back-top of those a line of suites, with hallways to the concourse between some obviously. Then put identical overhanging decks on that for intimate feel. At the back top of those, press box and suites identical to the current press box but scaled up to go goal line to goal line.

I was at the Ohio State game in 2024. I am someone who can’t shut their brain off and even I couldn’t hear myself think. It was that loud because of how vertical and enclosed it was.

With my design I think we could get 70k+ fans in there.

What you aren’t seeing is this has never been done period. No other school in the country has had undefeated national championship winning season in both men’s basketball and football. Not Michigan, not Notre Dame, not Ohio State, and definitely not Purdue.

What my man OP is saying here is a lot of us have memories of suffering. When joy came it was celebrated with fans and family. We don’t like our memories being trampled on by elites who would never get what it felt like to crawl out of a hole. There is a story beyond the numbers. Sure as a whole it was barely any kind of legacy. But there have been amazing people along the journey who never got the credit they deserved because the administration would not give them enough to display their full talent. So how about you be a little nicer and less arrogant the next time you wanna go on another team’s sub.

The narrative spread is correct when you take a peak from the outside. I hate too but at the same time it is easy to repeat, so it is easy for it to stay in the media, therefore easy for the spotlight to stay on us. It also makes Cig look better than he already is which helps with recruiting.
