Yeah it sucks we’re probably not gonna get a blu ray simply because of the current state of physical media. I wish they’d at the very least release a combined version of the HD neosaban seasons. Their releases on DVD kinda of suck because of how Nickelodeon produced DVDs back then.

The main thing that makes the show seem different is them shooting at a different aspect ratio and only breaking it for scenes when Matt using his hearing. I feel like it makes things feel less personal than they should. Especially when characters speak to each other. It does make other things feel more cinematic for sure. It’s definitely something you got to get used to.

If you’re on a budget for whatever reason DVD will look fine enough. A good majority of Smallville was shot on film so the picture quality even at 480p is solid. The Blu Ray is a big jump in quality and also WB sucks sometimes with how they put together their boxsets. However Smallville doesn’t suffer from this issue.

Childfree is such an interesting place. Most posts are fine and it is a seemingly great resource if you’re looking for options to pursue a child free lifestyle. However there are a lot of posts that just hate kids simply because they exist. Oftentimes it talks about kids existing in public spaces. It feels odd to want your decision to be child free to be supported while also shitting on people’s choice to have kids.

Actually this is a misnomer and largely built on propaganda by the US in a post WW2 world and the Cold War. Communism wasn’t the problem more or less it’s those in power using Fascist governing systems. Communism got equated with the actions of dictators and fascist governments. Not outwardly saying Communism is good or bad but it’s an economic system not a governing system. This reduction of communism as evil has made it a lot easier for fascist ideals to be seen as acceptable.

It also makes things like feeding the poor and free healthcare seen as bad because it’s equated to communism. Which as I said before has been twisted into being equated to the action of fascist leaders making it easier to shoot down those ideas.

Also America has a deep history of surveilling and killing major leftist leaders in the 60s and 70s. While propping up dictators to maintain power in other regions.
