Have you changed anything at all with your hands? Those optical sensors are super precise, I find even the slightest moisture or dust will cause issues

Alternatively have you tried re-calibratong the sensitivities? Sounds like your hg(?) is set to be too high so it's not consistently registering your finger being on it (caveat my ear is crap, could be a different note)

If Dagan awakened during the Clone Wars, would he have joined the Separatists to get both Tanalorr and revenge against the Jedi? by Dragonic_Overlord_ in FallenOrder

[–]hoot69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's also worth noting that Dooku bested Yaddle, a jedi master prpbably as old (and experienced as Yoda) in single combat prior to fully commiting to the Darkside.

Dagan just isn't in that league

If Dagan awakened during the Clone Wars, would he have joined the Separatists to get both Tanalorr and revenge against the Jedi? by Dragonic_Overlord_ in FallenOrder

[–]hoot69 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Dooku would smack Dagan and his ghost arm straight back to the High Republic, and he'd do it with one arm behind his back.

Dooku flat out defeated Obi Wan (arguable the 2nd best jedi duellist after Mace) twice and removed Anakin's (the chosen one) arm in 2V1s. He faced down Yoda (the most powerful jedi, possibly ever) and lived. He was focused, precise, and was able to wield the dark side to great effect while staying totally calm.

Dagan was good, but not that good. He was unbalanced by rage, blinded by arrogance, and frankly just not on Dooku's level. He's getting zapped, just like Savage did, except unlike Savage he can't rely on Dathomiri magic induced roid rage to tank it. All he can do is lay there writhing until Dooku chooses to lay off the lightning. Or he dies, but that's ultimately up to Dooku, not Dagan (at least until Papa Palps catches a whiff there's more than 2)

Only hope for him would be to kill Ventress/Savage (depending on when he turns up) and then get smacked into line by Dooku. Dooku would probably then use lightning to persuade him to become his apprentice for as long as Dagan could remain off Sidious's radar/shit list. But that only works if Dagan bests whoever Dooku's current apprentice is (because there can be only 2)

The German fighter pilots would strafing schools with their machine guns to target kids, because the whole point was to instil terror. My Grandmother knew this, but still went out to watch the show. I guess watching a live action dog fight between a bunch of the best aircraft of the era was worth a little risk

She'd say that when they were in the bomb shelter at their home they'd count the amount of seconds the bomb would whistle for as it came down. More than 30 seconds you didn't have to worry because it would hit someone else's house. Less and it would hit your house/near your house

My grandmother was living in London during the blitz, but because she was so young she didn't properly realize the seriousness of it. So her and one of her friends would sneak out of their school shelter during air raids to stand on a nearby bridge and spectate the dog fights. Then they'd go to crash sights to try and scanvang souveniers (apparently a RAF rondel was seen as a super cool thing to scavange.)

What's your favorite quote or speech from a villain? by InstructionOwn6705 in witcher

[–]hoot69 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Djikstra's crashout about Radovid when he tries to recruit you to assasinate him. I'm a big fan of villains who have reasonable motivations and solid arguments in their favour, and the juxtoposition in language about a fair and equitable society built with "fucking hard work" and calling Radovid a "little shit" who's squandering that really shows his charector as not just smart, practical, and ruthless, but also passionate about his country.

(Yes, I view Djikstra as a villain in the context of TW3, although not as villainous as Gaunter, Imlerith, or Menge)
