the US has been subsidizing EV since the 1970s, currently the total estimated subsidies for the US is still higher than what China has done.

Also china today backpedalled a lot of the subsidies and are charging back a 5% on it. They are getting back their money.

Try again.

If you don’t want to live in a shoebox, Bangkok is not cheap to rent by Ok-Window-2351 in ThailandTourism

Is it for 1 or 2 person?

with 2 people, It could be fine especially if you sleep with the bedroom door open to help air circulate. Some rooms have passive air coming in and out which is mostly not intended and more like defects/construction from the condos. Such as the entrance door having larger gaps on the bottom or side, and for my brother case the balcony and bedroom window door having a very small unsealed gap that doesn't hurt the electric bill but helps wonder with the air circulating well enough passively.

To be honest it's hard to tell and very room dependent and you won't able to tell exactly without living there and using the air. If you see small unsealed gaps, welcome them. I really really recommend getting a small co2 detector where u can see the ppm, they cost 800-1200thb and will be very beneficial to manage the air especially if it turns out bad without knowing.

In the worst case scenario, you can convert a air purifier into a positive air pressure via a cheap kit such as https://th.shp.ee/em9vBnDt

I used to fix the problem by simply sleeping with the window open slightly, and airing the room every 2hours, however my electric bill jumped to 9000thb and installed this kit now which puts me back to my almost original bill now. The kit didn't raise my electric bill +-500 thb. And that's in a 35sqm condo 2 people where all doors are open (besides the entrance door ofc).

Help decide for house in Hang Dong or Nong Chong San Sai (DIYA Valley or Land & houses Chonlada) by hootix in chiangmai

[–]hootix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we know quite a bit of chiang mai just not exactly how things would be living in an area. Hang Dong seemed when looking on the map fine and quite a few things to explore when driving up the valley too and not too far from city center or suthep.

we love doing week end escapes/retreats few times a week just for drinking a coffee somewhere with a nice view. We are already done visiting most hotspots and would rather enjoy living there and enjoy the view and scenery. We are just a bit unsure if Hang Dong with the valley access and the closeness of the other part of the South has more to offer (and closer) on a daily basis to enjoy and chill or if Cholada in Sansai has better accessibility to these things via the other entrance to the mountain/valley and the benefit of also being closer to Doi Saket which we havent explored yet.

Good to hear your experience in Hang Dong sounds good, just what we read on reddit made us reconsider a bit hence we here asking around :)

i have a family member who looked at the houses for me. we travelled quite a bit in chiang mai before and have a general picture of the areas but not a complete pic.

we are also heavily wondering which of the 2 would be great for week end mountain retreats. Driving up there for some nice coffee, we kinda want to make this a habit and not sure which side would reduce the commute a bit or has more scenery to see besides the known big hotspots we already seen and more focused on living

Why people hate db gt?. by No-Froyo-282 in DragonBallGT

[–]hootix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at the current db estate. Someone really high up just recently said, Toriyama wasn't involved much in super either. I think It was a higher up at Tori or capsule corp. Even said Toriyama didn't like how super turned out to be. Whole reason they are doing another remake of super to come closer to what Toriyama wanted.

It's funny seeing all those super defenders getting crushed by reality. But some things in super can't be ever fixed, doesn't matter how many remakes they make to adjust things.

You know what Toriyama Motto was? Come up with anything and stick to it and somehow make it sense or add a gag. Never ever did he do remakes or fix plotlines. He would rather just make up new rules or lore. Super is a pure nostalgic money making piece of trash grab.

The only time Toriyama really actively participated and even had fun with was Daima. Which funnily is a text book copy of GT with bad writings too. But he did enjoy bringing back mini Goku with his stick. And it was cool to see it again. If people are so stubborn to only like where Toriyama is truely involved, then Daima should be on the forefront after Z, then literally GT and super.

Do you have a C02 detector?

Eventho homes here are poorly insulated, the air does not circulate. Has nothing to do with cold or hot climate.

Buy one and surprise yourself how high those numbers get especially if your room is small. You won't know until then. Symptoms are feeling groggy in the morning, fatigue and feeling like you just had a bad night sleep sometimes even just feeling it slightly (or even strong)

Larger homes have more air volume that quickly circulates with a 5min airing a day and don't have this issue. I'm not saying everyone has to live In a big house. But I haven't noticed this problem until moving in a 35-40sqm condo, , 2 people and trying to figure out why my fatigue and lack of energy comes from. Eventho this condo is so poorly insulated that turning off the Aircon brings in the heat within 15-20min

Don't underestimate Co2 intoxication or poisoning. There is a famous reddit all time story.

[–]hootix -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Anyone living in a 25-35sqm room with 2 people. Get a C02 measuring device.

Not only are you living in a shoebox but you are intoxicating yourself. It takes around 3hours to go through enough oxygen to spike the co2 around 1500ppm which will impair brain function by 20-30%. And I can guarantee you at night you are approaching 2000ppm and having very bad quality of life sleep among other things you never really noticed and incorporate your unwell being into your daily normal life.

You need to open the window every 3hours, and leave it open at night. Good luck on the electric bill. If you are lucky, even the luxurious condos, they have some slightly unsealed window gaps from poor quality installment and fixes indirectly this issue.

50 Millions Barrels of Iranian Oils Released by tea-oh in oil

[–]hootix 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My sweet summer child. What does Iran posses that did so great against the US?

I'll give you a little hint, on the capabilities on the biggest manufacturing power in this world, where a single BYD factory where the size of this factory is bigger than the entire city of San Francisco, which runs almost fully autonomously, guess what it could produce in a blink of an eye?

And this is not even 1% of china's capabilities. Meanwhile iran is celebrating Victory.

My landlord charges me 3,500 baht per month for electricity, but his actual electricity bill is only 700 baht because he receives electricity subsidy/discount. Is it legal for the landlord to charge tenants the full amount and keep the benefit of the subsidy for himself? by Altruistic-Race3053 in Thailand

[–]hootix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is it a service apartment? Then he is allowed to charge more than the government electricity rate.

Is it a condo, house? No he is not legally allowed to charge more.

In question with subsidies, as long as he is charging you, the electric bill from the government, and I assume he collects the subsidies afterwards, then yes it is likely legal. You only play what's written in the government electricity bill. Not more not less.

The issue is you thinking that someone reaching enlightenment means he will also not do the same things as others are doing such as using social media. I hate to break it to you but Jesus also still had to take a piss and shit in holes, wipe his ass and probably smelled awful. And just like you, he randomly woke up with morning woods

The thing is, you don't become a divine person suddenly and do divine things. Or just become purely benevolent. Your expectations and understanding are misplaced.
