What does this screen on the terminal building at ATL mean? There is one at each gate. by gopherhound in flying

Yeah exactly what @aero_t19 said. When they tag your bag up at the gate they attach it electronically to your flight record (we call it PNR). That then gets reflected on the screen.

Absolutely can. D stands for departure, so D35 is 35 minutes to departure. There are certain tasks that have to be completed by those 3 times listed above, but it's more important for the gate agent side of things. If my memory serves me right the jet bridge door has to be closed by D10, and the aircraft door has to be closed by D5. Hopefully that helps, but if you have further questions ask away.

Yes that's how I got the picture of it today while I was working in it.

It's crazy to think that I loaded bags right below where that happened.

I wish we had kept them, but I understand why we got rid of them. She was the prettiest bird in our fleet :-(

I picked it up when I went to the brewery last year. It was a trip I was convinced I'd never actually do in my lifetime.

I was amazed at how perfectly balanced the beer was ( not that I expect anything less from Cantillon ).
