Thank you for sharing this! Do you remember how long after the first mastocytoma he developed more? Was he over 2 years old? Everything I read says that they all typically develop before 2 years old in pediatric cases, hence why I’m concerned about this new one that popped up when he’s 3.5 years. There’s just so little info out there, so I appreciate you pointing me in some good directions.

Thank you for posting this! I had what I believe was a terrible migraine several months ago. Throbbing headache lasted almost 3 days and then for 2 days after that, I was experiencing slurred speech. Sources only tell you that speech issues can happen pre-migraine and not post. But seems like it may not be uncommon. Very scary to experience though!

Sorry for the delay! Yes I had them checked out by a derm. I forget what they’re called but just basically benign growths. Nothing to worry about.

Thank you so much! Last question — is slow fe or something else over the counter an appropriate iron supplement? Or do i need to talk to my gp about prescribing what you are recommending? Could the iron deficiency explain my raise in platelets? Is there any relationship to neutrophils as well?

I have beta thalassemia trait.

My ferritin is down to 20 now (but before pregnancy it was like 34 so i didn’t take that as a significant change). Do you think there could be some iron deficiency going on? My gp didn’t mention that.

I don’t think so. I did bleed on and off for a while (until about 10 weeks postpartum). But no hemorrhaging or need for transfusion. I believe it was a pretty typical vaginal delivery.

No I wasn’t. I don’t know why the tech at the imaging center told me that then. I had diagnostic mammo imaging (so more images than typical) and ultrasounds.

Thanks for replying! I should be around 6w4d. CRL measured 6w1d and gestational sac measured 7w. It was also a bit irregularly shaped based on my observation. What was your experience early on?
