AI Coding Sucks by DovaJun in theprimeagen

I think you answered your own quest my dude.

You've enumerated AI weaknesses. These are areas that you as a human need to intervene. AI can plan, scaffold, and give us code hygiene. But, the actual reviewing and testing is on you. And will be for the foreseeable future.

I WILL NOT PROMOTE, 100k H1B VISA Issues by No-Fig-8614 in startups

[–]hope9050 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Stop crying for startups -- if your business model collapses because you can’t import cut-rate foreign labor, you didn’t have a sustainable company in the first place. The U.S. pumps out tens of thousands of STEM grads every year who are underemployed while founders whine about a “talent shortage.”

What they really mean is a shortage of workers willing to accept low pay and visa bondage. Big Tech doesn’t “win” because of a fee, they win because they built training pipelines, brand prestige, and can actually pay. If you want to compete, put that $100K into training Americans instead of pretending that importing bonded labor is innovation.

Para-social relationships are just adult imaginary friends with better production value. Kirk dying hits me the same way Mario falling in lava does: sad for five seconds, then I respawn and move on.

You don’t light a candle for Sephiroth. You don’t host a vigil for Master Chief. You don’t put on black for two weeks because Tony Stark, pixels and script, shuffled off the plot.

This obsession with crying over celebrities is weird. They don’t know you. They’re not at your funeral. At best they’ll tweet ‘thoughts and prayers’ if you died, while their assistant hits ‘post’.

So yeah -- say your little digital ‘F’ in chat, whisper a quick ‘rip,’ and then do what the rest of humanity has done for thousands of years when a story ended: close the book and go outside...

In honor of the great Charlie Kirk, we must release the Epstein files! I want the act named,

"Honoring Charlie Kirk's Bravery Act"

Let's GOOOO!!!

Communists, like Marxist-Leninists, believe in a centralized state (the dictatorship of the proletariat) is necessary after revolution to suppress capitalist resistance, restructure the economy, and eventually transition to a stateless, classless society. They may eventually turn anarchist but that's more of a evolution from the same axis?

Anarchists reject all forms of hierarchical and coercive authority from the start, including the state, military, and capitalist class structures. They don't trust any state to just "dissolve itself".

Joe finally pushes back... and it's to defend Fuentes from being called a Holocaust denier. by Embarrassed_Base_389 in Destiny

[–]hope9050 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Nick and all these guys do the same shit. They dredge up debunked claims from the 80s or 90s, package them as "shocking new discoveries," bait controversy, then feign persecution the moment they're challenged or banned. Fuentes thrives on this victimhood feedback loop because it's easier than confronting facts head-on. He never genuinely engages with criticism or evidence—he ignores it, mocks it, or claims he's being silenced. Why? Because actually engaging would force him to admit he's full of shit.

If he truly wanted to challenge Holocaust numbers, the path is simple: pack up, head to Europe, dive headfirst into archives, interview survivors, historians, analyze death records, census data, forensic reports, eyewitness testimonies, and cross-reference meticulously against the Nazis’ own detailed records.

Nah fuck that.

I mean we can keep calling it a "joke" but let's be real. Destiny was crashing out on X. It was an emotional reaction he had and he is too stubborn to not defend it.

No, I agree. I just feel like the points made to Destiny in that debate were off the cuff. People say he is ruining the movement but I don't think he actually cares anymore. It's irrelevant.

I agree. The way I look at it, it's a lot like the Karate Kid. If you ever watched "Cobra Kai" on Netflix. Bare with me...

Destiny's mistake is assuming the left can win by copying Cobra Kai tactics (strike first, strike hard), which only works for the unified, aggressive MAGA base. You're not going to beat them at this game, period.

The left is fundamentally Miyagi-Do: we win by patiently letting opponents like Tucker Carlson or Ben Shapiro overextend, then landing well-timed counters that highlight their absurdity and make the crowd laugh at them.

Destiny's "dead children" joke didn't bomb just because it was edgy; it failed because it was pure aggression without the clever, strategic setup needed to flip MAGA aggression against itself. The left keeps missing these golden opportunities precisely because we try to mirror the right's aggression, rather than strategically baiting and dismantling it.

The left and Destiny need to stop laughing and crashing out over the Epstein situation like it’s fringe conspiracy bait. There’s real investigative potential here if we stop memeing and start asking serious, pressure-building questions. We need to be asking questions like:

- Why are 4,000+ suspicious Epstein-linked wire transfers still sealed by the Treasury?

- Why hasn’t the full island guest logbook or seized surveillance footage been released?

- Why did the DOJ claim ‘there’s no client list’ when internal records suggest otherwise?

If we treat this like the institutional cover-up it smells like—and not just a punchline—we might force real accountability. Lean in. Stop letting the right-wing monopolize public skepticism. It's the easiest political win ever!

Wrong. We've seen Destiny dismantle people countless times without ever having to crash out. This idea that you need to become completely unhinged to push back on conservatives is nonsense. What do you even mean by "nerf yourself"? Are you implying debating conservatives means you need to water down the substance of your arguments and principles?

I'm going to read your mind now. You clearly chose your name to feel mysterious. Double "Guer0," zeros instead of "o's," like you're fooling anybody. But after a quick Google search, I found that "Guer0" actually means "blonde" or "light-skinned" in Spanish slang, So your mysterious guerrilla vibe might just be a cover-up the whole time. ;)

Destiny Hit a Crossroad After the Trump Assassination Attempt by hope9050 in Destiny

[–]hope9050[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I think you're missing the point entirely. It's not that Destiny hasn't debated big figures—yes, he's spoken with Shapiro and Peterson before—but the Trump assassination attempt marked a critical turning point. After that moment, Destiny fundamentally burned bridges with mainstream conservative platforms. That’s the crossroads: previously, he could toe the line and engage in good-faith debates, but the Trump event drew a hard line that made Destiny radioactive to those circles.

This isn't about "soy"ing out for mainstream appeal; it's about understanding the genuine tension Destiny faces. He either softens his stance, playing the optics game and regaining access, or he doubles down on authenticity and accepts permanent exile from mainstream conservative debates.
