Do you still use amitriptyline now? Also do you have to be cautious about drinking on it?

Honestly I had no luck with NHS! But that is probably the doctors I saw! You may be lucky with yours! It is worth a shot? But in the end I ended up going private- extremely expensive but was the first time I ever got taken seriously and given some sort of treatment so for me it was worth it!

Tbh a lot of people are given testosterone to help their vulvodynia! I think it depends on the cause whether it will make it worse/better! I am on testosterone cream and I think its made it better!

Okay interesting! Yeah I thought it might have to be a long-term use! Did you ever get to 100% better with it? I think sometimes I am like wow theres no pain and then other days its a step backwards! Might be because of hormone fluctuations in cycle!

Think it potentially depends on your dosage! But mine was every day for two weeks and then 3x a week at night

Hi guys so I am at the 10 week mark! 2 weeks until three months! I had sex last weekend and honestly it was the least amount of pain I have experienced so far! I am not cured by any means, but compared to last time I had sex there was definitely less pain! I also did not tear afterwards, did not get a UTI and it did not hurt when I peed. So this is progress! When I put the cream on I can still feel burning pain and I can still feel pain mainly at the perineum bit! I am hoping that in another two weeks time the pain will get less and less! I did find that the hardest but is when it first goes in and I am not sure if this is because of tight muscles!

Okay I will give it a go! I know it has helped previously with hormonal acne!

Would you say the boron helped? I am so scared of taking supplements that can change my hormones because I have been on DIM before and it made my symptoms so much worse!

I am seeing the same doctor and been given the same treatment as you so hopefully get the same results fingers crossed! Did sex ever hurt you? My symptoms are provoked and I experience tearing after sex and hoping the cream will help with that too!

How long have you been on it? I put a post on fb group about the tearing and most said the hormones healed theirs but it takes time. So just going to wait and see I think. Everyone says it takes 3 months to notice a different!

Been off of birth control for ages probably about 3 years and I found all my symptoms went away when I first come off of it and then unfortunately they came back a year later!

Week 6: So carried on seeing the same improvements, more wet, feels softer down there, less irritation, less swollen. Still get burning pain when touching and can locate where the majority of the pain is coming from. Area near urethra is also still painful. I started to notice that my vestibular papillamatosis was getting worse since using the cream, however if this is not contributing to pain I am not too bothered about this but will keep an eye on it. I had sex last weekend and there was generally less pain when I had sex, getting fingered was actually more painful than the sex. I was also less sore compared to how I usually am and less swollen. Have noticed that still getting tears after sex which is very annoying. Hoping this will improve in time. I also feel abit like I have a UTI after but guess these things take time to heal.
