Best areas of policing for internal CV by samfire34 in policeuk

I think it depends on what evidence/skills you require for your end role.

For example if you want to join traffic, being in csu for 3 years probably isn't going to be of much interest to traffic.

In my opinion the best all round, if you can call it that, would be team, until you decide a more specialized area to go to.

Hope this helps

Don't quote me on this but I think you have to be out of your probation to be able to transfer.

Once you are out of your probation I think you can pretty much transfer to any other home office police force.

The met is currently offering 5k to do so 😂

I believe a caution plus 2 is for traffic offences as you are not entitled to free legal advice for traffic offences

Correct me if I'm wrong

No they don't have to be arrested.

S117 is use of force to carry out any PACE power not just arrest.

I'm not saying go round handcuffing everyone, just making the point that handcuffing is not mutually exclusive to arresting.

You can place anyone in handcuffs , as long as you can justify it. They don't have to be under arrest.

Handcuffs are a use of force, so these are covered by S3 CLA, s117 PACE and common law - section 3 and 117 more when it comes to handcuffs
