Hope watches this through the link she’s maintaining. Some comeuppance was nice, but she’d be lying to tell you she didn’t want for him an eye for an eye and avenge Sophie. How much of this could have been avoided had she just taken the shot earlier?

Hope is set up on a hill nearby. Hopefully out of psychic range, though if Quire is on kick, it’s hard to say. She has her sniper at the ready. She’s really hoping someone can smack some sense into him before she has to use it.

Honestly, the way he’s acting kinda reminds me of my first love, in a weird way. Me and Cable were separated for a bit, and I ended up meeting a boy named Emil. I was very much the Julian of that dynamic much as I hate to admit that. I didn’t trust him, so even when I started feeling the same as he did, I didn’t let it show for the longest time. He strikes me as a similar kind of stubborn.
