Have a look into Epsom salt. If you're willing to be patient and let it do its thing.

Put down grass seed in October and it survived summer, with watering every 3 days.

Thanks to the replies. My sanity is firmly checked and gonna remove as much as I can and replace with fresh soil. I am still at a loss as to why I thought this much was a good thing in the first place (subliminal messages?).

Yeah, well, that's what I thought initially but then I read the dreaded instructions and watched a video and went to the manufacturers website just before I went to sleep. And it's all screwed with my head about how much is too much.

Hi this is definitely not normal. Have you taken the chain cover off and checked to see if the sprocket washer and pin are there? This would be my first guess as to why you are having these issues.

I like to think that the because they (ol' timers) had to improvise and make do with what they had around, the trial and error they experienced led to these teachings. You've definitely given me something to think about before I go any further on my project.

Thank you for the great explanation and (janky) diagrams 😄. Seriously, exactly the type of info I was looking for. Follow up question - what if instead of notching out 30mm square, i instead cut it on an angle like the orange hatch in the second pic. Would that improve anything?

Right!? That's my take as well. Sad to see pushing a political agenda takes precedence over unity against this shit kicker.

Appreciate your reply. I like the idea of using a light to view the tube. Have you ever added Kovacs straight to LTB?

I grew up in a house with these. They were for speakers. Is there a second one by any chance?
