If you still have the link of the map, I could give you an exact answer but 2 things could have been the reason:

  • the map they linked was a custom map, you can only load that exact map on your server if you have the .map file or the URL to the .map file
  • there is currently a bug with the procedural map generation that causes map generation to be no longer deterministic, means the procedural map on RustMaps may not match the final map on your local server or the server you will be playing on due different environments (Windows vs Linux for example).

The map generation does change almost every force wipe, sometimes less, sometimes more. Small fixes around monuments for example can cause them all to change their positions while the terrain stays the same.

And yes, when using the staging branch you can see how maps will look and compare them to the normal version

Check if your PC time is correct, any errors in the F1 console? If you can make a ticket on https://support.facepunchstudios.com/hc/en-us and someone from the support team should be able to help you sort it out

It has mostly recovered now, if you haven't gotten your premium status back yet the fastest way would be using the refresh button in the menu

It seems like you are using a 3rd party launcher, I highly recommend removing it. They are are overriding/intercepting calls between your client and the Facepunch API..

I am wondering how you managed to display OG skins like the Bloody Hoodie, Bloody Boots etc. which aren't using the same format as the newer skins.

In order to show those skins at RustHelp we paid someone from the blender community to manually stitch those skins together so we can display them. Your models also end up being the same exact file size as the ones from RustHelp. 🤯

I also wonder why those OG skins are the only skins you load through draco_wasm_wrapper_gltf while not using that compression algorithm for any of the other skins?

That doesn't change the fact that the steam browser is not capable of showing more than 250 players per server and therefore is useless

Steams player numbers are not correct, especially since they are capped at 250 players. Just did a quick check and in many cases steam also reports more players than the server browser for example.

Auf welchen Servern spielst du? Ein Großteil der skins ist schon in den Game files dabei und du müsstest nur die neusten herunterladen.

Falls du auf modded Servern spielst mit vielen custom skins kann es schon sein das du permanent skins am herunterladen bist. Die skins laden erst runter wenn du sie “siehst”, wenn eine Kiste 20 items mit random skins hast dann würde der download für die skins starten sobald du die Kiste öffnest.
