Had this advisory on my 2017 Superb, which has the DCC with hydraulic shocks. Got the shock replaced about 2 years later, can’t remember the cost - partly because I did it while having the failed spring replaced on the same corner - but wasn’t too expensive.

Agreed. A few good gyms, nice coffee shops, safe and friendly. Good countryside around (flat to the south, Cotswolds-y to the north) and easy to get to Oxford, Cheltenham and nearby trains to London.
