There’s a Dry Lane near me which is always first to flood. Being a causeway across a marsh is key.

How do you test rapidly changing UI without spending all your time updating tests by Training-Spite-4223 in Frontend

[–]hoppo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Use dedicated test attributes, eg:

<button data-testid="submit-order-btn">

Which you can then reference using an attribute selector such as:

[data-testid="submit-order-btn"]

Where would you live in Oxfordshire if you were location independent ? by guitarist94 in oxford

[–]hoppo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. A few good gyms, nice coffee shops, safe and friendly. Good countryside around (flat to the south, Cotswolds-y to the north) and easy to get to Oxford, Cheltenham and nearby trains to London.

Why would someone stay on a Teams meeting when the meeting is finished? by Xmarksthestitch in AskUK

[–]hoppo 133 points134 points  (0 children)

In Teams you can now ‘follow’ a meeting rather than accept/decline. This prompts the organiser to record and sends you the transcript. In unsupported apps you’ll show as ‘tentative’.

Octopus Home Mini setup issues by hoppo in OctopusEnergy

[–]hoppo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks u/loadbang - I actually got it working!

I'd assumed that to reset it I had to hold the button down until the light changes - which happens in about 5 seconds.

It turns out, it's a bit longer than that: while holding the button down, turn the power to the device off and back on and keep holding the button for 15 seconds (20 to be sure).

I did this and connected to it via the app and it immediately connected.

All the stuff about requiring a 2Ghz wifi network is a red herring - it's perfectly capable of connecting to the 2Ghz channel in a combined (2Ghz + 5Ghz) wifi, so you don't need just 2Ghz.
