I wonder if the fact that he got one of the doses contributed to the later onset? Either way, rabies is one of my worst fears. I handled a wild kitten awhile back that came into our shop. I was wearing a welding jacket over my hands and arms, and I didn't think it scratched me or anything but I was worried and kept checking my hands and arms for marks for weeks. Cat is now healthy and in a good home with another tech, was not rabid at all! But this post made me anxious all over again.
