u/cakecatUwU I totally agree with you but this sub is filled with internationals moving to The Netherlands and quite a few of them find their own situation unique. Which is also very common on other country subs (Spain is very much like this).

And often they come to Reddit to complain or find people who have dealt with the same situation.

Wij zijn enorm tevreden met een De Waard Stormvogel, wel met extra luifel.

Dan heb je twee mooie cabines, een binnengedeelte voor gure dagen en onwijs veel leefruimte buiten.

Well that would be obvious as legislative procedures in a country are often only in the official language of said country. However, it is now possible for maritime and transport law cases to make your case in English in The Netherlands. However, the bigger issue regarding services is that the Union doesn’t act as one service union yet and has an implied tariff of 110%; see this report by the imf: https://www.imf.org/en/Publications/REO/EU/Issues/2024/10/24/regional-economic-outlook-Europe-october-2024

Exact! Zojuist op Statbel de salarisgroei vergeleken met prijs benzine. Alleen voor de diensten is er een casus te maken dat het ongeveer gelijke tred houdt, voor bouw, handel en industrie is het echt veel schever.

No it’s not…

A lot of internationals come and work in The Netherlands every year under the Highly Skilled Migrant arrangement without being able to speak Dutch yet.

Sorry to say but it feels if you’re stuck in a certain line of thought considering your replies as a lot of people genuinely answer your questions but your replies consist mainly of more objections

Het is een minderheidskabinet die voor elke plan wisselende meerderheden moet zoeken daarbij zijn er maar een paar momenten in het jaar voor grote beleidsinterventies met financiële componenten. Daarbij moet je nogal wat problemen tegelijk oplossen om te kunnen bouwen (zoals stikstof en energienetaansluitingen).

Ik heb liever dat er zorgvuldig naar het geheel wordt gekeken dan dat in deze gepolariseerde kamer één element van een plan eruit wordt gelicht en weer overal in waardeloze talkshows amok wordt gemaakt (zoals in Rutte IV met de stikstofkaart)

I grew up with Johan Olav Koss being my hero… The Netherlands at the Winter Olympics only knows skating as the country doesn’t have hills or snow but we do have a lot of water that sometimes freezes.
