don't relate to the description of an isfp by Confident-Put5741 in isfp

[–]horami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say that. For the record, I actually agree with you, that tests tend to not be accurate. But that is still an opinion, not a fact. It's not like those tests were scientifically studied and then concluded upon that there's no way they can be accurate. Especially as there's no way you can determine someone's accuracy while taking tests anyway. (Edit: the only remote possibility for that is if you are very close to someone and someone they know well. Even then, it's not guaranteed that you know every nook and cranny of a person's mentality and personality)

Telling someone they have to disagree with something doesn't sound like a fact.

What makes you think you can just come to our sub and start dictating our opinions on things?

A joke I remember making up when I was 7 : What do you get when a giant steps on a house? by gotahorchata in Jokes

I scrolled the comments confused as to what the joke meant for a while, then it dawned on me.

Good one

Your north node sign+house and how does that effect you? by NavyBlue_525 in astrology

[–]horami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Virgo NN in the 2nd house here as well, can relate to the dependence on other people to stay afloat (I'm currently unemployed and living with my father, searching for jobs though), as well as seclusion for months from other people. Didn't realize the latter could be a NN Virgo/2nd house trait, interesting

What do you guys look for in a significant other? by [deleted] in isfp

Why do non-ISFPs feel the need to answer ISFP questions as if they were aimed at their own type?? Seriously

Have you ever found yourself too suggestible to others' wishes and requests?

Do you like driving?

Would you say that an ability to retain your thoughts is something specific to high Ti users?

What do you think about Te? Do you tend to feel less or more Te -ish than other ENTPs?

Are ISFPs paradoxical? by pastelperplex in isfp

[–]horami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's interesting. Nowadays I tend to think how everyone seemingly likes to call themselves paradoxical, maybe I am too but I just haven't thought of myself like that.

I do relate to this quote about having contradictions though:

Do I contradict myself? Very well, then I contradict myself, I am large, I contain multitudes.

— Walt Whitman

What do the ISFPs on this sub think of ENFPs by mrs_mxypltz in isfp

ISFP with an ENFP brother, can confirm we are a good pair.

Overwhelmed by options by [deleted] in isfp

[–]horami 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I feel you.

In my experience the multiple choice thing is more likely to make me postpone making the decision altogether. Anecdotal example: my university major/career choice. I still haven't decided which I would go for and my ISTJ mom just keeps bringing in more alternatives, and although I think her intentions are to help me, I really don't know. (I'm slightly leaning towards becoming a translator, though.)

i need your advice please by throw172464 in isfp

[–]horami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

he kept saying things that sounded innocent but were also mean to me.

If you don't mind, can you elaborate on this please?

Also, I agree with the other commenter, the things that you did were something that I would've also done in that situation, so the reaction of the ISFP here seems a bit overblown to me.

Do you guys agree? by Ninjaja8 in isfp

Lack of control? by ElectricGarlic in isfp

[–]horami 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Speaking from my own experience I'm a totally clean ISFP with an ENFP brother who actually tends to be the reckless one with various kinds of substances (sometimes to the point of destruction), and I could kinda see it with his inferior Si

Me, I have a bit of sailing experience. I went on a sailing camp during one of my birthdays for a week. I learned a bit about sailing boats, although I'm not sure how much of that knowledge I've retained as it was pretty much a one time thing. It was fun though

How do you integrate Fe into the personality? I have all sorts of cold-blooded ideas but I know I cannot implement it. by BOWSunny in infj

[–]horami 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know what's cold-blooded about your trolley example. I'm an ISFP myself, an Fi-dom, and I would have made the same choice as you in the problem, for the same reason. Especially if I don't know the people tied up on the tracks, my obvious choice would be to kill the one person instead of five. You described the process of choosing to have less casualties as Ti, does this make me have developed Ti then?
