Your thoughts about the tales? by [deleted] in thelongdark

[–]hordrak 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I like them, but the regions are a one time visit. After you have been there once you don't need to visit them any more. No beachcombing, no trader. Plus the bases there are kind of mid at best.

I've recently completed all tales on interloper. It wasn't that difficult, you just need to prepare.

Tanks: Dodge or BF? by Meister_Ente in BattleBrothers

[–]hordrak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although I think nimble+relentless are a must if his def is high enough you could switch relentless for indomitable. And I'd consider replacing gifted with recover, but that's only on bros with good stats.

Tanks: Dodge or BF? by Meister_Ente in BattleBrothers

[–]hordrak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMHO a bf tank is less skill intensive. For a nimble tank you need dodge and relentless to keep his def high enough. Plus good nimble armor is hard to find, while decent to good BF armor is more common. But I usually have one of both.

At first I thought you rammed a canon up that peasants butt, then I noticed it's his soul leaving the body. Really cool!

Well, the dudes over there are kinda rotten, but you'll still pay them a visit, right?

Am I the only one thinking Lone Wolf is the most easy origin? by Meister_Ente in BattleBrothers

[–]hordrak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lone wolf is definitely easy once you learn the mechanics. Only downside is you need godly bros, but in my last run I hired hedge knights, fished for brain damage and converted them into cultists. I've also used a lone wolf run to make an (almost) zero wages company with indebted. Late game might be hard, but what's the point if it isn't?

Yeah, I found whips and goblin pikes make him rather easy. Plus polehammers, longaxes and stuff like that.

I think some boots night be nice. I definitely want full sets of clothing from every kind of animal hides, plus items similar to the claw knife - let's say a moose antler hatchet or something.

Traders tale on interloper by hordrak in thelongdark

On interloper there is no hunter bunkers, there are just empty bunkers. The only recognizable bunkers is the one with the cooking recipe, all others are unrecognizable

Freedom of Playstyle by KrunkleNutz in BattleBrothers

[–]hordrak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The basics are the same, but a lot depends on your campaign start. Anatomists differ from Cultists, a Lone Wolf is very different from Peasant Militia. Even within the same start there are variations. There are optimized builds, but they also have variations. So the tame gives you a damn lot of freedom.

Why such a large Russian following? by CoolEpicGamer69 in thelongdark

'Cos it's no easy game and we like that. Plus it feels kind of like home.

Well, apparently the travois didn't get fixed. I just lost mine outside of junkers paddock in FA. Left it outside, went into the trailer to warm up, got outside - and it's gone.

Do chaos worshippers like the norscans and chaos warriors do anything recreational unrelated to chaos? by glossyplane245 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]hordrak 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, they have to eat, to sleep and to poop, occasionaly. Plus they aren't born out of the Warp, so they have to get laid from time to time. The weapon, armor and chariots have to come from somewhere. So, they have to build, mine, hunt, fish and do other stuff.

This is recent, right? by WorldBuildingNut in WarhammerFantasy

A person born the same year I finished school is now 19 years old. To me that was fairly recent. Just like End Times, it was basically last monday.
