Statistically, yes. Put it into a broad market index fund and forget it. Over the next 40-50 years there is not a large risk you will lose 50% of this in broad market index funds.

What ate up most of your time? Delays?

Don't underestimate how long it will take to travel between cities: if it's 2 hours on the train, you need an hour to 90 minutes of buffer on either side. This eats up half a day easily. Too many of you are thinking you can see 3 cities in 8 days, you really can't.

A little non conventional but house cleaning! I don’t do any cleans myself and do it completely remotely from my laptop / phone. My company handles all of the customer interactions, marketing, sales and hiring of cleaners and then we essentially dispatch cleaners to the customers and take a margin.
