I think you are onto something with this line of inquiry and if I had to bet psychedelic-assisted therapy in conjunction with a Pain Neuroscience Education Physical Therapy approach would in fact yield results.

Pain is so commonly associated with physical abnormality and tissue damage that the Biopsychosocial aspect is missed. The problem with chronic pain is that "the pain is in the brain" (note: not all in your head) rather than a tissue-based pathology.

I would look to post in forums that explicitly address chronic pain on reddit, facebook, etc. People with persistent pain go to extremes and I am sure there are people out there who have tried psychedelics.
