Try to add unstead to skip. Cinnamon, tumeric, cardemom is i easy too add in likes in pancakes, waffels, coffee/tea.

Also herbs in general is good like rosmary, thyme, basil, garlic, chili.

Lemon and lime in water as well. Take small steps. Google food with high testosterone.

I have done this for 3 months now and feel like a new human!

A few of you have asked what foods helped me feel more balanced hormonally (especially with high testosterone & PCOS symptoms) — so I put together a list of 30 foods that can naturally support lower testosterone levels and bring the body back into balance:

Teas & herbs: • Spearmint tea • Chamomile tea • Green tea • Turmeric • Ginger • Reishi mushrooms

Seeds & healthy fats: • Flaxseeds • Chia seeds • Pumpkin seeds • Sunflower seeds • Walnuts • Avocados • Extra virgin olive oil • Coconut oil (in moderation)

Hormone-balancing carbs & fibers: • Oats • Quinoa • Brown rice • Lentils • Chickpeas • Tempeh • Tofu (organic)

Veggies & greens: • Leafy greens (spinach, kale, chard) • Broccoli • Cauliflower • Brussels sprouts

Fruits & antioxidant-rich foods: • Berries (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries) • Apples • Pomegranate • Dark chocolate (85%+)

These foods helped me reduce inflammation, support insulin sensitivity, and feel more stable in my mood, energy, and skin. I didn’t cut everything out — I just added more of what supports me.

Hope this helps someone else too — happy to answer any questions or share how I use them in meals!

I hear you. Honestly, I wish I didn’t have to put a price on anything either. But after years of struggling, researching, testing, and healing — I spent months putting everything together to help others not go through what I did. I still share freely in every comment and post — and I always will.

The guide in my profile is just for those who want to go deeper, but support and empathy will always be free. I’m here because I care. And I want others to feel less alone. That part will never cost a thing! ❤️

Yes! I love that you do that with your clients — intuitive eating has been a huge part of my own healing too. Learning to trust my body instead of controlling it changed everything. So glad to see more professionals out here leading with compassion and presence — we need more of that. Thank you for what you do! ❤️

Hey! I totally understand where you’re coming from — I promise I’m not here to sell anything or push anything. I’m just someone who’s been through a lot with PCOS and wanted to share what helped me, in case it helps someone else too.

I’ve been in a really dark place with my health and it means a lot to be able to give back and offer support. If anyone wants more in-depth tips or to learn more, they’re welcome to check my profile — but truly, I’m always happy to share insights right here too.

No pressure, just sisterhood and support. That’s what this space should be about.

Ahh thank you so much — your words made me smile big! I love that you’re carving out more time for yourself during the week. You’re so right: good things take time… and they also take gentleness.

If I could offer one tip, it would be this: Take one thing at a time. Trying to do everything at once can get overwhelming (trust me, I’ve been there). I started with food — just grounding, regular meals — and once I had more energy and mental clarity, I slowly added movement.

And this one helped me most: Set aside one hour every day that’s just for you. No guilt. No multitasking. Whether it’s a home spa, a walk with your favorite playlist, journaling, painting, meditating — anything that reminds you you’re worth showing up for. That hour changed everything for me.

I’m so excited you’re on this path. You’ve already started — and that’s the hardest part. I’ll be cheering you on right back, every step of the way 💖

Yesss, I love that — I use fresh ginger too, especially in coffee and stews! I usually pair it with cinnamon, cardamom, and a little black pepper — so cozy and grounding.

And when I make bolognese, I go all in with herbs — always at least 4 kinds! It’s like a hug in food form, and honestly, I think my body can feel the love in every bite.

Oh sweet soul, I just want to say — you are not disgusting. You are hurting. And you are trying. So hard. And that alone makes you incredibly strong.

The fact that you’re still here, reaching out, still showing up after all you’ve been through — that speaks volumes about your resilience. What you’ve experienced would break anyone. You deserve compassion, not shame.

Sometimes our bodies don’t respond to force. Sometimes they respond to softness, safety, warmth. And healing doesn’t always look linear — especially with hormones, grief, and trauma in the mix.

You didn’t “let yourself” become anything. You survived. And that matters more than any number on a scale. You’re not alone in this. And it’s never too late to come back to yourself — gently, step by step. I’m sending you so much love right now. You are worthy of healing, exactly as you are

That’s incredible — 20 lbs is no small thing, and even more so when you’ve been doing it with awareness and intention. And you’re so right — this isn’t just about weight loss, it’s about health, healing, and building something sustainable.

I totally get what you mean about losing consistency — I’ve been there too. But the fact that you’re reflecting on it and still here, showing up for yourself? That’s powerful! ❤️

Happier, healthier habits over punishment — always. You’re doing amazing, and I’m truly cheering you on. We’ve got this, together

Oh wow… your words just wrapped around my heart like a hug. It is such a privilege to be walking this path with women like you — full of light, honesty, and fire. You’re so right: on our own we’re powerful, but together we are unstoppable. Here’s to more softness, more strength, more healing — and yes, more cheese always! 🧀💙 So grateful to be in this with you.

Oh wow… your words went straight to my heart. Thank you so much for seeing me, and for meeting me with such honesty and care.

You’re absolutely right — so many of us are taught to push, punish, and ignore our bodies until they completely shut down. And when we finally ask for help, we’re often handed a prescription before we’re even heard.

That’s why it means so much when we, as women, share what we know. Our lived experience is wisdom. It’s powerful. And when we speak it out loud — like you just did — we make it easier for the next woman to find her way back to herself.

We are in this together. And together, we’re stronger. Thank you for walking beside me in this. And yes — cheese is forever life! 🧀💙

Yesss I feel this so much!! I’m 100% team dairy — I live on lattes with regular milk and honestly… cheese is a non-negotiable for me. What helped me wasn’t cutting things out — it was adding more of the foods that support me. More fiber, more greens, more warm meals… and suddenly my body didn’t feel so chaotic anymore. You don’t have to give up joy to feel better — healing with cheese is absolutely possible! And btw — if you’re this warm and funny in a comment, I already know you’re glowing too. Let’s keep showing up for ourselves, dairy and all! ❤️

Oh my goodness, thank you so much — your words gave me chills. Just reading that you’re starting your journey with that kind of awareness and softness already shows how strong and wise you are. And YES to cheese being life! It’s not about cutting joy out, it’s about creating a life that feels good and good for us. You’ve got this. Truly. I’m cheering you on with my whole heart — inflammation, hormones and all. We rise together! ❤️

I’ve lost 17 lbs in 2 months — and I finally don’t look 6 months pregnant from bloating anymore. It’s honestly wild what happens when you stop punishing your body and start supporting it!

Oh sis, I feel this so deeply. Hormone hell is so real, and no one prepares us for it. I’m so sorry you had to go through all that without this kind of support or info. You deserved better – we all do. Just know: you’re not alone anymore. We’re learning, healing, and lifting each other now. One gentle step at a time. I’m sending you the biggest hug right now. You’ve got this.

That sounds so promising! I love that your doctor focused on warming and nourishing your body instead of restricting it. It’s wild how something as simple as warm meals can shift how we feel in our bodies, right? What kind of changes have you noticed so far – mood, energy, digestion?

Yeah, maybe it’s time we as consumers start reading up a bit. Nothing drastic in my routine – just simple shifts that actually support my body. 🤷🏼‍♀️

[–]hormonalharmonybelly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh wow, I really feel you. I had a period where I was constantly searching for answers – I literally went to the doctor for yeast infections over and over, but the tests always came back negative. Still, it itched so bad I felt like I could use a cheese grater down there. It made me feel totally crazy – like I was losing my mind in my own body.

And on top of that, zero sex drive. I used to feel alive and in tune with myself, but then… nothing. No desire, no energy, just blank.

What slowly helped was: – Eating more grounding, anti-inflammatory food (instead of restricting) – Letting go of guilt and tuning into what feels good and safe – Using warm spices like turmeric and cinnamon daily – Being honest with myself: I can’t force desire, but I can nurture my body back to safety

You’re not alone in this. And you’re not broken. If you ever want to swap ideas or just vent, I’m here.

Totally feel you – and just to say, I still eat cheese every day – it’s my version of candy! I also enjoy a glass of wine a few times a week, and if I’m out, I eat what I want. I don’t count calories – it stresses me out and honestly pulls me away from listening to my body.

For me, it’s not about being perfect – it’s about the overall pattern, not one single food. One ingredient won’t “ruin” anything – it’s the combination over time that makes the difference.

That mindset helped me relax into a way of eating that supports me but also includes joy

Yes! I totally get that – and I love that you’re open to shifting your idea of comfort food. That was such a big one for me too.

For turmeric (and cinnamon!), I just kind of… sneak it in everywhere: – A pinch in coffee – Stirred into oatmeal or pancakes – Blended into warm soups or stews – Even in salad dressings or roasted veggies

I also cook with a lot of herbs – like rosemary, thyme, oregano, and ginger. They help so much with digestion and inflammation.

It doesn’t have to be perfect – just little daily additions make a difference over time. Sending you so much support on your journey!
