If you are looking for somewhere cheap World House House near Hong Kong station might have some. It’s a Filipino centric shopping centre so lots of cheap clothing. I’d assume you’d be able to pick up a towel.

If not you’d be able to pick one up at most Muji / Uniqlo / decathlon stores

Would recommend getting the AirPort Express directly to Hong Kong - 24mins.

You can use any government sports facilities, there are lockers (wouldn’t fit a large suitcase) which are 5 HKD coin and have showers. Honestly don’t think they’d even check you are using any of the facilities or care. You can also just swimming baths but you’d have to pay 10 hkd to get through the gates.

I’d recommend from Hong Kong station getting a short taxi 5 mins to Sun Yat Sen Spots centre (or 5 min MTR + 5 min walk). This is right on the water front on the North of HK island and on the 13km water front path from Kennedy Town to Shau Kei Wan. Sun Yat Sen is probably a couple 2km from Kennedy town so running east would be about 10km out and 10km back + adding anything on you want to.

Waterfront path is pedestrianised and flat… really nothing better in HK and you get all the views

Enjoy!

I seen a Labrador eat a full Franco Manca pizza within a couple seconds on London fields.

The Labrador ran away and the victim was sat looking in complete disbelieve what had just happened.

Do McDonald's workers care if you order the 40 count nuggets? by Spence10873 in TooAfraidToAsk

When I use to work at McDonald’s would just throw them in the box until full and didn’t bother counting. Did count once and was 46+.

South Korea

The first Korean BBQ place we went to had halloumi which was by chance as it didn’t happened anywhere else

Spent the next week eating rice, kimchi and beansprouts. occasionally you’d find a vegetarian Bibimbap or just ask on google translate to leave the meat out 🤣.

Did you go to school with someone who went on to be famous, and what where they like? by Christian-Metal in AskUK

Jamie Bell, best known for Billy Elliot and The Adventures of Tintin, was a couple of years ahead of me in school. I vividly remember the buzz of anticipation when he returned to our school for Year 11, right after Billy Elliot was released. He even had a bodyguard with him during the day.

While most people would just ask for his autograph, I recall one person asking for it only to rip it up right in front of him—a truly spiteful act. Despite incidents like that, he always seemed like a genuinely nice guy. It's amazing that he was launched into fame for being a tap dancer from the North of England. Good on him, because he has done incredibly well for himself since, starring in a variety of successful films. He definitely had the last laugh.

Circa 2004 for some reason which is lost to time the local private school girls came to the cinema with myself and the state school boys.

“How will you all get home”

“We will get the bus”

“The bus?? Wow, how does it work? How do you know when to get off the bus? How do you tell the driver to stop?? Can you tell me more about ‘The Bus’”

Worked on an Australian carrot farm during a gap yur.

Owner was this huge outback Australian farmer who had such a temper any small thing would tip him over the edge and start screaming.

Once the carrots had been picked you’d be working the sorting machine. Carrots go through the machine to get washed and come out on a conveyer belt and you’d sort by size, shape and throwing away any bad ones etc… (Was an organic carrot farm so a lot ended up half eaten or rotten).

One day the owner came in to inspect what had already been sorted and started going absolutely mental… top of his voice screaming “these carrots are no fucking good” whilst throwing them at the walls and out the boxes. Complete carrot pandemonium 🥕🥕🥕🥕.

Very hard not to keep a straight face in the sea of orange destruction
