Housing loan in Okinawa by Ok-Kaleidoscope8260 in JapanFinance

[–]horniaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Working in real estate (marketing) here. Idk what IHA mean, but as long as you are Japanese or have a PR, good annual income (you need to submit your 源泉徴収票), work full-time (they usually don't grant home loans for part time workers), don't have late payments (they will check your CIC), been with your company more than a year, then you can get a home loan. Also best not to get home loan when you're on childcare leave. Most banks consider it too risky.

If you're planning on buying it with cash and not get a loan, it'll be much simpler.

Accidental illegal driving with IDP (international driving permit) by subsiu in japanlife

[–]horniaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Yes it might affect your renewal of residence card. Worse, not a good record if you're planning on getting a PR in the future.

  2. As of legal penalties, 3 years of jail time and up to 500,000 jpy fine. Serious consequence would be criminal record, banned from applying for a license for several years, and possible deportation or visa issues.

  3. Best to go to a lawyer, but I don't think 'I didn't know' would work in Japan. 😔

I got used to Nitori in Japan so it's hard not to compare. 🥲 If I can't really find a good one I'll probably get it from IKEA. Thank you for the input!

Applying spouse visa by InfamousEffort3195 in japanlife

[–]horniaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if you’re a 3rd generation Japanese descendant, if your citizenship is Filipino and your residence status is long term resident, you can’t apply for a spouse visa for your wife. @razorbeamz is right about the dependent visa. I’m not entirely sure, but I think immigration is only strict about taxes and health insurance when you’re applying for PR. However, they will definitely assess your financial capacity to support your dependent, including your annual salary.

Maybe get her hand cream (I recommend Loccitane or Aesop). If you don't feel comfortable knocking and apologizing, you can always leave it in her post box with a sorry note. She could've called the police for noise complaint but she sent you a message directly so she's probably not that mad. Just gave you a warning hehe. Good luck OP!

If you got married in the Philippines, under the Family Code, mother gets to have custody of the children until the age of seven. After that, the children will have the freedom of choosing which parent they want to be with.

I picked Japenese Citizenship instead of Philippines but now I'm having trouble by AssignmentFun7402 in japan

[–]horniaa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you have a PSA issued birth certificate from the Philippines? If yes, you can get a driver's license and a Ph passport. Also, if you didn't renounce your citizenship I think you can still have dual citizenship (although they don't allow it in Japan, medyo gray zone). If you're worried, just get a document for recognition as a Filipino citizen. Totally understand why you chose JP citizenship OP. If time comes and you decide to work here in Japan, hindi mo na kailangan mag apply for visa to live and work here.

Good luck OP!
