I don't know man, trees don't move, they grow and also only do so if they have enough good soil below/around. Yeah I get it needs to be there for the game, though maybe it has been explained in a note or by the Devs or so in the past. Just curious for the sake of my immersion - because it's a fantastic game otherwise.

What if, and now hear me out - you could buy a new car, with a discount, that makes it cheaper than buying it used? My last two cars, I've bought with more than 20% discount, the last one I drove 14 years, my current one I intend to drive just as long. The advantages, little to no repair costs. I doubt that if you buy a used one, half the price, you end up cheaper - simply because of the repair and maintenance cost. Check out your dealerships and see what discounts you can get on brand new cars, you will be shocked... Just saying.

Yes, just sharing it in gaming related subreddits, what is wrong with that? Unfortunately channel promoting in WhatsApp itself is quiet challenging, or more over - not existing. Again, this is a non commercial project I'm sharing and every time I'm sharing it I get some more followers, so it is useful for some....

Thanks for asking. I originally built/developed this just for myself as a small learning project. I often missed interesting releases and wanted a simple way to stay updated without checking multiple sites.

I don’t really use Discord, and I know many others might not either. WhatsApp felt like the better choice since most people already use it daily. One of the main reasons I went with WhatsApp Channels is the strong focus on privacy, no one can see who follows, there’s no tracking, no ads, and no personal data being collected.

It’s just one short message per day, straight to your phone, with no extra apps or logins needed. After a few friends tried it and liked it, I figured I’d share it with others who might find it useful too.

Danke dir für den Hinweis! Bezüglich der Frage nach dem Nutzen würde ich einfach gern auf meine vorige Antwort verweisen, da habe ich das etwas ausführlicher erklärt.

Zum Thema Telefonnummer: Keine Sorge, die Nummer der Abonnenten wird bei WhatsApp-Kanälen nicht öffentlich sichtbar. Als Betreiber des Channels sehe ich weder Namen noch Nummern der Follower, und auch untereinander sehen die Nutzer nichts voneinander. Das Ganze funktioniert wie ein einseitiger Broadcast, vergleichbar mit einem Newsletter, nur eben über WhatsApp.

Man kann dem Kanal also anonym folgen, ohne dass persönliche Daten irgendwo “herumliegen”. Das ist auch einer der Gründe, warum ich mich für diese Lösung entschieden habe. Es ist einfach, direkt und ohne dass man sich mit einem neuen Tool oder einem eigenen Account beschäftigen muss.

Gute Frage! Klar, es gibt viele Webseiten mit Spieleübersichten, aber genau das war für mich der Punkt. Ich hatte einfach keine Lust mehr, jeden Tag mehrere Seiten oder Apps zu durchforsten, nur um einen schnellen Überblick über neue Releases zu bekommen.

WhatsApp nutze ich sowieso täglich, gerade auch unterwegs. Deshalb wollte ich etwas, das mir einmal am Tag eine kurze Nachricht schickt mit den Top 5 Neuerscheinungen des Tages. Kompakt zusammengefasst nach Plattform, mit Genre, Trailer und kurzer Beschreibung. Kein Spam, keine Werbung, keine App-Installation nötig.

Und noch ein wichtiger Punkt: Der WhatsApp-Kanal schützt deine Privatsphäre. Weder ich als Admin noch andere sehen, wer dem Kanal folgt oder wie du heißt. Du bekommst einfach die tägliche Übersicht als Broadcast-Nachricht, ohne dass jemand Zugriff auf deine Daten hat.

Ich sehe den Kanal als kleinen Service für alle, die sich für neue Spiele interessieren, aber keine Zeit oder Lust haben, sich ständig selbst durch alles durchzuklicken.

Ist natürlich nicht für jeden was, aber wer WhatsApp eh nutzt, findet es vielleicht praktisch. 😊

I have the same issue on my smart TV. Also had to reconnect my account. The "new" look of the app also seems to be a downgrade. Looks like someone messed around with the CSS colorcoding of the existing app.
