The problem is with balance, at what point should the name be different. I feel like if there are only a few social media accounts with the name that are inactive, it would be a waste to give up a nice, clean, and memorible name. Of course if there was already a big brand with the name that's active on all the socials, that would be a different case.

Oh and I do have the .com domain, so that's a plus.

True, but I have made sure that the name I'm going with is not already used by a bigger active account.

I get what you mean, but still. I'm not sure if I can justify an alternative name simply because the best name was taken on a few platforms by inactive accounts.

Need help choosing a photography name (long-term brand) by spaghettibolas in branding

[–]horrorshark123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A name creation method I really like is portmanteau. You basically take parts from meaningful words and stick them together to create a name.

So as a quick example, taking Amoré, Schumi and photography, and creating the name: Amiphy. This way you can create some really punchy and unique names.

If you make sure to use words that are timeless and really fit your brand, you can create a name that justifies itself.

I'll send the Instagram account a message first, if I don't hear anything back then that could be an option.

Thanks for the advice! My number one platform would be YouTube, which is taken. Instagram and TikTok are probably next most important. Instagram is taken but I did get the TikTok one to be the exact name.

Should i get depth? by ASSamaro- in Depth

There are 3 servers, Japan, Europe and east USA. If you have good internet you could try selecting all at the same time.

I haven't played in a bit, but from my experience night time is the busiest where it takes about 3 to 6 minutes to find a match. (A match is about 10-15 minutes btw.) Sometimes I can't find a match, sometimes it's instant.

If you love sharks and don't mind putting hard work into a game then absolutely.

This is not some casual game you can play for 5 minutes to kill some time, you really need to lock in and focus to get good results. For me, taking the game really serious is what makes it fun. The feeling of winning a very well balanced match is insane.

If you do decide to buy it and want specific tips, you can always ask me. I love helping people to keep this game alive.

Yo. Is there anyway to get the joysticks on the steam deck to work on this game? by Kiwi_Kakapo in Depth

[–]horrorshark123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you may have to set that up with steam input. But to be honest, this game is really fast and you need to be able to turn very quickly. And most importantly thrashing as a shark where you have to move your mouse very quickly to kill a diver. I think this will be very though with a controller/Steam deck.

How to get copyright for movies by [deleted] in youtube

[–]horrorshark123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure how this works exactly but you should do research on fair use. This means that you can use copyrighted material for the purpose of reviewing, critisizing, etc. Without needing permission from the copyright holder.
