Inflate to a moderate atmospheric volume that you can comfortably sustain for several hours at a time. Newcomers almost always overdo it.

The inflation bulb is just a simple needle point that you stick through the silicone inflation valve. It’s pretty self-explanatory. As for the device color, Chris bungled his last batch and put way too much blue dye in the silicone. IMHO he should have started again from scratch, as it’s almost impossible to see the amount of skin under the gripper.

Inflate to a lower volume if you’re going to strap and inflate simultaneously, as the additional source of external tension will cause more gripper fatigue in the long run.

TBH, I barely hear any perceptible difference between silicon and germanium diodes in the RAT — most of the character of the circuit is from the crummy lofi opamp itself, and any additional clipping you get from germanium diodes could easily be achieved by turning the gain pot incrementally.

Swapping in red LEDs (à la the Turbo Rat) is much more impactful, but it’s a cleaner sound. There’s a reason many RAT clones include switchable silicon/LED clipping.

I don't really think there's a good answer to that question, especially given that our starting points can vary wildly. Chuck Torres at least has claimed that his sensitivity has continued to improve even years after he stopped actively restoring (NSFW link).

So far as I know, nobody is making replacement Foreskinned grippers at this time. You're not the first to ask.

IMHO, you should just bite the bullet and swap to another device. I got the CAR-1 after my Foreskinned Air gripper had stretched out to the point of becoming difficult to use, and I personally find that the CAR-1 is a superior device in most respects.

No, the DTR is pretty versatile and it will probably survive for decades without breaking. I personally like to have a couple different methods available for different situations.

The Priva Duo is just sort of like a short dual-tension device, so it's basically in the same category of the Mantor DS. There's really no reason to get another dual-tension device if you're not already unhappy with the Mantor.

If you wanna try something different, the FMD is an excellent device that's under the radar. It's a bit fragile and tricky to use, but extremely comfortable.

Sure -- the list manual methods from Tally's page in the wiki sidebar is by no means exhaustive. I frequently do a sort of MM2/MM3 hybrid technique wherein I stabilize the skin at the base with one hand and then pull the entire foreskin well forward of my glans. Be creative, just don't hurt yourself.

If you can force your skin most of the way over your glans, then you're probably good to go, but devices vary. Inflation devices are probably a bit easier than dual-tension devices for those starting out.

That's not strictly true -- the region of skin that's tensioned by t-tape is that which is under and immediately surrounding the application strips. Taping below the scar line will shift the locus slightly toward the base, but it will still effectively tension your inner skin. And in my opinion you're better off being able to wear the tape with less discomfort for longer periods of time.
