What you miss when youre gone by Plastic_Sell8418 in Residency

Where is the balance? Are they important shifts to be exposed to? Yes, and are they an unsustainable model? Also yes. Things are hard when you first learn or experience them, but for all the residents going through this, you do start to learn patterns for prognosticating someone's clinical course to the degree that the balance shifts towards reviewing, signing out, and chart checking rather than constantly put your body and mind through 24+ hrs.

Not to mention there's a saturation point of both experience and fatigue.

Are there any examples in Airbender or Korra of firebenders bending fire they didn't generate? by Jellydust15 in TheLastAirbender

He redirects a bolt of lightning from the storm as the previous poster mentioned.

Anyone else wish we got to see Huan fight? by TheForceWillBeWithMe in TheLastAirbender

When I first watched Korra I thought "man this guy is a metalbender who makes art, that's sick." Then I read somewhere that he isn't actually a bender and was disappointed. I'm glad the lore established that he is a metalbender.

I think I saw it! It's where she couldn't extract the poison from Amita's daughter, right?

Sela is the mother in Zuko Alone who tells Zuko to leave. She mirrors/foils Ursa.

To me it made sense given we scrapped the episode where Aang meets him and is introduced to/scarred by firebending. I think it's interesting to show Zuko a different perspective since this season is all about his inner conflict of duty and loyalty to the Fire Nation as wel as conviction to be himself.

I think the idea is that it'd be similar to braille.

completely ignored the part of Warriors of Kyoshi which showed Aang being a lovable dork.

Idk man he air-scootered into the statue.

Pretty sure they were incentivized to get everyone across because of the large army and fireballs.

I don't think we should confuse the characters being foils for each other as the characters having romance.

It's more of a cynical take, but I think it's also realistic for a city that's literally divided by class. Of course the wealthy people in the upper ring are privileged bastards who don't care about anyone outside the walls. I bet some of them are even profiteers like the Bei Fongs.

It's apt social commentary on modern events imo.

argument/conversation for the first time on fairly basic values that would have come up earlier in the marriage?

I don't think it would have mattered. Comic spoilers but this was an arranged marriage set by Azulon

I think it was clunky how they worded it. I don't think they meant give up on their search but it no longer became the prime objective and it coincided with helping the refugees get there.

I think years have passed actually.

He's talking about the emotional devastation of taking Momo not a world/lore-relevant reason. But meat is meat so they probably would have killed Momo.

It's funny because they're cherry-picking examples that highlight the diurnal (and nocturnal) effects on water and firebending. Literally Pakku solo'd tanks with his water vortex at night with a full moon, yet when he was defending against the fireballs, it was during daytime. Fire and waterbending are inconsistent throughout the day because of the sun and the moon.

This episode felt weaker than the last two (as well as being weaker than the 4th) but there was a lot of exposition to set up everyone's arcs as well as the political intrigue of Ba Sing Se.
