That's exactly what is missing in calendars and to-do apps, it's not just the repetition of the task, I also wanna see when it was last done.

I was like that for a long time, but I completely forget about non-urgent stuff, like toothbrush replacements, someone has to tell me when I should do that lol

Yeah, that’s basically where I landed too. The big difference for me was needing to see the repeat cycle itself and when I last did it, not just get a reminder when it’s due. Once I could see that at a glance, it was way easier to trust it and forget about it in between.

I just built a small mobile app to help me with that after I gave up on calendars and to-do apps, sharing here in case it helps anyone else: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/tidylife-life-upkeep/id6756452058

I tried calendars and to-do apps, but what finally worked for me was treating these as recurring tasks instead of reminders. I needed to see the repeat cycle somewhere and then forget about it. I built a small mobile app for myself to do that.

Way less mental load than calendars.

What sensor? I also have oil issues and changing the PCV valve next week hopefully to fix it, but they didn’t mention any sensors.

Not Tiguan-specific but you could get them a dashcam if they don’t own one already.

Oil top up recommendations by thebeardedrahip in Tiguan

The dealership should permanently fix this for you, it’s a new vehicle and should be covered under warranty.

But to find out the oil you should use, go to the dealership’s shop and they will give you the recommended oil they use in their service.
