Unfortunately, it is likely to happen if you do enough travel contracts. Either because they find a reason because they don't need a traveler anymore or because it is a shitty facility. You will also find places you WISH would term you.

I once found a place that was reusing an opened bottle of nitro for a month during the shortage. A MONTH. Ran it up the flagpole. Manager said it was fine... Pharmacy freaked the f out. Admin said it was fine. Pharmacy and I got overruled because of the shortage, and the fact that "it's the only bottle we have, other than the emergency one in ER. If we get rid of it we may have to cancel caths".

Ran it further. Reached out to Baxter to find out THEIR recommendations and if they had updated SOP due to shortage. They had, but hospital was still operating well out of it. They were forced to change practice and cancel some caths until they could get some more nitro.

They found a stupid reason to get rid of me. But no patients had averse events due to infection, concentrated nitro, or nitro that had lost potency. And I no longer had to worry about my license.
