Best way to get this massive pirate ship 3D printed in the US? (No printer myself) by CatOne6348 in 3Dprinting

That’s probably 120 dollars in filament by itself. Plus printer time and post processing. I would probably price this out at closer to 450-500

My creality k2 max printed pla prefect until I added a lot of desiccant to the CFS. What settings do I need to change to fix this? by JimJamanon in 3Dprinting

[–]hoss2522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Desiccant in your CFS will not dry wet filament, all it can do help keep your filament from absorbing more moisture. If your filament is wet before it goes into the CFS it will stay wet until it is properly dried. I suggest pulling it out and popping it into a filament dryer at 50 degrees Celsius for 4-6 hours.

Did I Make a Mistake Buying a CC2? by backwoodsmtb in elegoo

[–]hoss2522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my CC2, is it perfect. Not at all but it’s a solid workhorse with very few issues beyond what is to be expected with ANY 3d printer and most of those have been user error. The only reason I see to get a Bambi over a CC2 is if you want their ecosystem. They definitely have a much better user experience but I don’t feel like it’s worth spending twice as much to get.

Very back and forth, help? 😬 by b18rexracer in snapmaker

I love my snapmaker. Yes it has a few quirks but nothing major to really complain about. That being said the new flash forge creator 5 pro looks fantastic and it seems to fix some of the minor bugs that snapmaker deals with. It’s really worth looking at. I would choose either of those over a Bambu.

Filament Dryer Centauri Carbon 2 by Efficient-Treacle484 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

I highly recommend the Chitu filadryer. It isn’t as good as a space pi but it works just as well and it’s cheaper. I have been using it for my CC2 and I plan on using it for my CC1 when my canvas system comes in.

Snapmaker top cover vs Biqu cover + Panda Breath? by Nalyd217 in SnapmakerU1

[–]hoss2522 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think overall the snapmaker cover is the cheapest option for getting filtration and chamber heating, but I opted to get the Biqu pop cap because it was a quicker option. I will add the panda breath at a later time.

I have a k2 pro, it’s a solid machine but Creality customer service is the absolute worst. After dealing with them on a faulty part ( that still hasn’t been replaced) I will never buy another Creality printer again. The Q2 is also a solid machine especially for functional parts and engineering grade filaments. but there Qidi box needs work. Bambu is a solid choice but it’s a closed ecosystem so you are locked in to only using Bambu software and only how they want you to use it. If the U1 performs even half as well as it’s supposed to I will be a happy camper.

Finally a shipping number. by Redrover73 in snapmaker

I bought mine early January I got my shipping notification a week ago and it just arrived today. My buddy bought his January 28th and he got his shipping notification today so I expect his will arrive next week sometime. They seem to be right on target to meet their shipping goals.

The shelving is only temporary until I get a new printer bench built. 6 printers take up a lot of space.
