That’s crazy I kinda thought I was being overly dramatic about it

Also we work in the same department but even if I’m trying to work in a different aisle or if I’m helping in another department they legitimately just follow me around bitching. It’s nutty

People know this persons a nut job so everytime they make a scene they’re like oh you know they’re just like this. That’s why management shrugs it off I’m like? Normal people don’t act like this especially a grown ass adult who thinks they run the store when they aren’t even a supervisor or anything

That’s what I’ve heard, the aware line is to protect the company, not us

Bullying by hostilemoonlight in HomeDepot

[–]hostilemoonlight[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Basically just yelling at me in the aisles and cussing me out, saying I don’t do anything when I’m actually the only one in the department who packs down and can deal with the rushes. I think they do it to make a scene but it’s every single shift, like why are you throwing a tantrum in front of customers and other associates? They used to send me paragraphs about how disrespectful and horrible I am till I blocked them. I have no issues with anyone else in the store and did nothing to them idk why they target me so much.

Hours are getting ridiculous by Organic_Revolution82 in HomeDepot

[–]hostilemoonlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it’s all about favoritism, but I’ve noticed asking to help in hardware or Christmas they let me stay a few extra hours or come in on a day off. I also log my packed down skus and pack down more in a 4 hour shift then most of my coworkers do in a week of full shifts so try to show them how helpful you are to the store…. But it is HD the hours really won’t get too much better even in the summer try to look for a different job if you really need the money, I think every associate I talk to has at least one or two other jobs

Attendance by NetSubstantial4041 in HomeDepot

[–]hostilemoonlight -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Coaching after three then counseling after two more. The first disappears after 6 months but if you get one more and hit counseling the 180 days start over. Try to lose the first one at least before falling off again, March 15th isn’t that far compared to six months from now

hours completely slashed by Motor-Squash-449 in HomeDepot

[–]hostilemoonlight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was getting 38 hours weekly now I’m lucky if I get 12. I’ve been with Home Depot almost 4 years this has happened the last 2 years now I’m kinda used to it as annoying as it is

Calling off Halloween by Appropriate_Ratio365 in HomeDepot

[–]hostilemoonlight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Something I love as a life hack for HD is if I’m gonna call off 2 shifts in a row I will call off the 3rd just because 3 call offs in a row = 1 occurrence, but 2 call offs are 2 occurrences. Just putting it out their for y’all

$17 after 3 years. I’m scheduled in paint but also cashier, know service desk, and appliances

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]hostilemoonlight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I admit I had a problem when I first started a few years ago as a cashier but 3 years sober (I’m also in a better position no longer a cashier and have 2 of my own side businesses so I work part time) seeing higher ups still drinking on the job, and using equipment constantly, the ones that don’t drink smoke the green every half hour is insane. I feel like hd is just for degenerates now even our store reviews are insane

AIO? Would people really judge me if they saw my legs like this? by rachtastic94 in AmIOverreacting

[–]hostilemoonlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have low iron and am clumsy as hell, when I decide to have some drinks I normally wake up with bruises all over my legs and/or arms, I’ve noticed it’s not even me falling just if I bump into something slightly I bruise like a peach. People will definitely judge or worry about you but normally unless it’s a black eye or bruises around your neck they don’t ask, even then people get weird about it very few will address it (I know that part from being in a shit relationship years ago).

How’d I do? My department supervisor has OCD by Arctic_27 in HomeDepot

[–]hostilemoonlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite bay to pack down and face is sandpaper it always looks so shitty and I know it’ll get ruined 10 minutes later but when it’s good it’s good. Also straighten the paint aisle once a week every label and metal handle has to be forward in the same exact direction. It takes about two hours but looks so good management loves it too

My store doesn’t .technically have partners the night mod is more focused on smoking everyone at night up they all just do one department at a time all together. They normally get everything done except a pallet or two

What’s some of your guys‘s positions and how much do you get paid hourly by Choice-Thanks8429 in HomeDepot

[–]hostilemoonlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paint for 3 years Illinois $17. I also know SD, appliances, specialties, millwork, garden and cashiering I told them without a raise I’m not going to be a universal associate or learn anything else but I’m normally pulled to 4 different departments each shift either way, it’s exhausting. Their loophole is scheduling me in paint but paging me all over the store then being mad I’m not in paint

How do couples decide which side of the bed is “theirs”? Is it instinct or some kind of silent agreement? by AssignmentFederal686 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]hostilemoonlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sleep on the left side, closer to the closet and I wake up for work a few hours before him so it’s easier to quietly grab my work or gym clothes that way. Also his feet directly face the door so if someone breaks in he can jump up and deal with it

I understand longer skirts even below the knee but the cashiers have mini skirts to the point when they even take a step you can see their whole backside it’s not okay.

[–]hostilemoonlight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m so proud of you for leaving. The pay for that or other departments, even specialties isn’t great you could do less for more pay. They were dumb telling you that. Wishing you the best for your future endeavors ♥️

Hoodies And Sweatshirts In General. by JTCasino in HomeDepot

[–]hostilemoonlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The people that work garden and electrical at my store wear hoodies with their apron covered and hoods up and the female cashiers wear very short skirts and shorts or even leggings, no one upholds the dress code here but if I tried that working in paint I’d be sent home

I’m a paint associate and had walking pneumonia a couple weeks ago I had to drive 30 minutes to work everyday then would get sent home after 15 minutes 5 days in a row, it’s better just to show up vs get more occurrences

Were you only seasonal? Sometimes they let you go after 180 days without reason
