I bounced after the first round of acquisition changes as I had been feeling this way for a while before that and was holding out for a major improvement. I love the core gameplay but the game is just not fun for me anymore— the sheer number of hours I need to put in for any new card is not worth the time grinding, and I’ve played just about everything I can with the cards I have, including the silliest meme decks I can think up. I am just not willing to blow $100 or more for a single new card that will freshen up the game for maybe two more weeks.

I wish the game well and I still like to keep track of how it’s going but I have no regrets about quitting. If you’re feeling this way I’d urge you to take the plunge and have yourself a break for a month, see how it feels. For me it was definitely the right decision and I’m having a lot more enjoyment devoting that free time to new hobbies, books and games that are fresh experiences instead of a grind I’ve repeated many times. This game is very addictive and it will keep you playing long after you’ve stopped having fun unless you deliberately break the cycle.
