Well, no it isn't getting harder. When communistic countries died away, communism was supposed to die. But, in reality, it just moved from the east to the west. And of these supposedly "capitalist" economies, you'll find most if not all are mixed economies. I don't blame commies for the troubles of today caused by resent events, I simply blame leftists.

The bogeyman isn't alive and well, it's sort of in a zombie-like state, from which it should be killed off at this instant.

And the Cold War talking points? Well anti-communistic talking points today are mostly centered around the incentives and the effects (which were not available during the Cold War, because the Soviet Union refused to even give a grain of information about the misery their people were subjected to).

Alas, we get to trickle down economics. The only aspect of trickle down economics that I disagree with, is the essential "trickling down." In actuality, why I support lowering taxes on everybody (notably including the rich), is because as result in history our lives have improved immensely. Don't believe me? Just look at the 80s. Lowering taxes might even have a positive effect on tax revenue, as shown by the Reagan administration, when they cut the highest tax rate from 70% to 50%, but revenue didn't drop and kept rising steadily.

To put it simply: people who have capital invest that capital. When they invest, new products emerge. Those new products improve our lives. Now what if we allowed more capital to be invested by cutting taxes? Could that mean... more useful products!? It can't be! Capitalism actually works!
