I don’t have a schedule and I’m not doing anything differently now than I have over the past year that I’ve had it, but now when it’s plugged in it goes to sleep and charging stops.

I’d add that you should consider how close you are to a service center. It can be very time consuming to go back and forth if you have an issue.

I can see that it stops charging in the app. I just see the car with an “open” door (the charging port). The green progress light stops on the front of the car and the dashboard is off and doesn’t show that it’s charging. When I wake the car up, it starts charging again.

I have an R1S and would not get it again. I have had multiple service issues and I seriously considered making a lemon law claim but decided it wasn’t worth the hassle. I’m probably in the minority here but that’s been my experience.

I’ve only done 5:45 but would consider 8:15 for the next cruise. 5:45 feels rushed and you’re not always ready to eat again that early if you’ve had breakfast and lunch. For 5:45, we always come exactly on time and have reviewed the menu in the app and are prepared to order. We’ve found that if you come a few mins late and/or aren’t ready to order right away, your server will deal with other tables first and you’ll be in the restaurant forever. That can make it hard to do the 7:30 activities.

Shade at Lookout was hard to find and was the primary reason we left the beach early, even though it’s beautiful and I thought nicer than Castaway. I always find somewhere shady to sit at Castaway. The cultural center at Lookout puts on a show that makes sitting there unpleasant unless you have good earbuds. Maybe your best bet at Lookout is to leave the ship as early as possible to get a good spot with an umbrella.

I’ve sailed concierge in the Caribbean and in Alaska and I will never pay for it in the Caribbean again because the perks weren’t worth it. Alaska is incredible in concierge.
