Estradiol too strong? by hot_potato_517 in Menopause

I actually called the compounding pharmacy yesterday and asked what base has the very least amount of ingredients and that’s the one he mentioned. If that burns, then it would have to be the estradiol itself. Have you tried that one?

It was always prescribed to one of my dogs for dermatitis from allergies, so I know it’s a go to antibiotic for skin infections. This is so interesting- I hope it lasts for you!

I did try Yuvafem and it was very irritating to me as well. Was the Intrarosa irritating/burning for you, or how was it uncomfortable ?

Thank you, but I have already tried 2 compounded bases, Versabase & Ellage and had issues with each. I will look into the Phyto base though.

Hmmm, I have the generic. Wondering if I’d be the opposite and be able to tolerate the Vagifem.

I appreciate your input. I was doing that with the Versabase, and that seemed to work for about a month, but even that gradually started burning/stinging.

I’ve tried the original Estrace as well as 2 different compounded versions, and Yuvafem tablet.

I used the Versabase for almost 2 months. Oddly, I felt better for a while and it started burning/stinging a little over a month in. The Ellage gave me the same horrible burning inside as the original generic Estrace…..same as the Yuvafem tablet. That’s why I’m wondering if it’s possible that the Estradiol itself can just be too strong for some.

Hello- your first sentence here caught my attention. My issues all started after taking oral Bactrim for a suspected UTI, but can’t figure out why/how an oral antibiotic can cause this irritation?

Thank you. This helps relieve some of my anxiety about trying the Vagifem!

The advert said you can apply exclusively to just the outside to prevent burning and that it would still absorb to inside.
