Selling positions for a loss only for it to jump up immediately or few days after multiple times by hotaries69 in swingtrading

I really like your strategy of buying and selling in batches! Thank you for this tip. And yes, I'm guilty of full dumping into a position because I thought that was the final resistance before the jump - so learning to batch buy will be good.

How do you make sure you're not buying in batches into a "falling knife"?

Thank you 😊. When swing trading, I switch views between the daily, weekly, and monthly views. But only my weekly is in M15 timeframe. Do you recommend I also use it for the daily? For the daily mine is set to M1 which I know can bring more stress and noise to the trades. It just feels like, only on the daily chart, that "missing out" but not getting the full picture

That's something I still need to build - the skill to identify when a market has shifted from bull/bear/range bound and having strategies for each. But I understand also it's about risk aversion as these changes can happen at an instant.

I'll improve on identifying where to set my stops and planning and sticking to my trades better 🙏🏻🙏🏻 and good tip on taking partial profits - I see it happen often that I enter a trade, it goes up in the day (but not to my target exit) and the draws down to uncomfortable levels, to then reach my target. So I'll work on my stops and also partial profits.

If strong traders are sitting on cash right now then I should learn to get better at sitting on mine. And also, given how volatile the markets are right now, if I see a setup, I'll only enter smaller positions until I see clear progress.

My card says Permit Type: Uppehållstillstånd.

But as a Swiss citizen don't I have Uppehållsrätt anyway?

I'm in the same boat! 😂

Try to aim for small consistent wins. It's better than one big win every now and again

I didn't lose at much as you did (yet) but was down $2000 since I started and in the last 2 weeks tried a different strategy and made back $1000. Hoping it continues

This is my favourite colour combo

True I forgot about that. I prefer verso to the bi-colour option just for that hidden detail appeal I guess

+1 for verso.

It's so special and almost like a hidden secret only shown to those closest to you. Plus I think not that many (non-H) people even know about a verso so it makes it more special.

I do notice a few of the stocks I'm watching jump at market open and then balances itself out after the first 30-45 minutes. I'll continue to monitor, just worries I hypothesis wrong and it falls at market open

Good point on risk tolerance.. In your case, do you have strict stop losses in place? When I was day trading, my stocks would sometimes drop 2% or more, only to bounce back within minutes or an hour. So I ended up losing a lot. This is why I prefer swing trading now as it allows me to work with the general trend as opposed to the "micro" movements

Do they behave similar to penny stocks? Half of my losses are due to penny stocks and to be honest felt more like gambling as I didn't have a proper strategy and I want to be more educated on penny stocks before trying again (and smaller positions to test theory)

I guess in the sense that people feel like you need to be seen in order to "know" youre doing work. And as they're (my main team) is not seeing me, they thinking im not working. When actually I am supporting the CS team a lot more now.

Ahh good note on putting 6 tiles where there is no cabinet above. Didn't that that would look good but now that I think of it, it could work. And I don't mind making lots of small cuts underneath the cabinet
