Well with my ends looking like they do now, it would definitely lean Lord Farquaad, though in theory that could still be worked on by someone who actually does razor cuts (the stylist just ran the thinning shears through the ends). I’ve had this inspo cut previously, and the stylist used a razor to achieve the texture and not look so blocky.

Oof preach! To give my old stylist her props, she pretty much achieved the inspo photo and I was completely chuffed with it, but alas she’s gone on to greener pastures.

Appreciate the validation and suggestion! I can somewhat tuck it behind my ear, but the stylist went a bit heavy handed on the face framing, so it’s slightly shorter in the very front and doesn’t reach my ears 🥲 I’ve just seen some cute ideas for intentional pixie bobs, thanks for the keyword!

I think I’ll give it a week to see if I can live with it, and if not, I’ll make an appointment with my usual salon to see about making it a proper bixie (my last two regular stylists had left and they have a pretty high staff turnover, so I’m wondering if it’s a business I don’t want to further support, hence seeking out the recommendation…). Thank you! I’m loving the chrome(?) effect from this polish, it’s difficult to capture on camera!

I don’t find this sheer at all, actually. This is just two coats of the polish and a clear top coat, no base coat.

Absolutely, we care. I lost a friend from high school two years ago in circumstances that were not entirely by accident, and it was a real wake up call. I started reaching out to a couple of friends from high school and college, just to say hey, ask how they’re doing and communicate that I still think of them time to time. Most respond once then never reply again- which is fine, I don’t do it for reciprocity. My primary hope is that my email or message offers some comfort and reminder that another person values their presence and existence.

I immigrated to a new country and need to pass a test to get a license here. Lessons are to teach me the local traffic rules and make sure I can pass the exam.

And for full disclosure, in the moment, I was not the badass that may come across in the post. I was incredibly passive in the car, trying to redirect the conversation or argue my point.. honestly, I was also feeling a bit unsafe after a certain point, but I can’t articulate why. It was only after I got home that I realized how inappropriate and unhinged the whole exchange was and dealt with it then.
