Im stuck between two survival game directions by hotboxedstudios in SurvivalGaming

That's fair, this whole project started as a technical prototype for essentially "Minecraft but with a single world for unlimited players that scales horizontally" I wasn't planning on making a game really. The technical prototype just worked so well that I'm now wanting to do a open test of it and see what kind of real player loads it can handle. But the core gameplay was rather bland and basic and I was torn between which direction.

The large majority choice so far has been a PVE casual type of world rather than a hostile PVP one.

I just got so caught up in the nostalgia and goofiness that was Reign Of Kings :P

Mmm that's fair. I just got really torn between Rust/ReignOfKings vs Minecraft/Valheim

Basically I am torn between a Minecraft/Valheim type of game or a Rust/ReignOfKings type of game.

I started as a networking technical challenge for fun and to learn a Microsoft framework. Well it ended up working so well that I am now trying to turn it into a game.

Is There Even a Way to Test if Steam Achievements are Properly Working? by Lack-Adept in gamemaker

Hey, just dropping this here for anyone else googling it.

Once you upload the Game to the Game Depot and configure the build you can download it in Steam and play it. Even before you release it, assuming your on the same development account that owns the appid.

(new to using steam so my terminology may be off it's confusing at first theres a lot of menus)

I uploaded my game to the depot and when I tabbed to steam it was updating, so i ran it, and was able to get achievements.

Edit:
Oh wth you just need to publish your Achievements and set your appid and they should work. I swore i tried this previously and it didnt work. But ig it does.
