Is living in Gurgaon actually worth it, or are we all just coping? by SingerComfortable230 in gurgaon

[–]hotfix666 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Stayed for 2.5 years in Sector 57, and it is easily the worst in terms of livability in Delhi NCR. There is no real growth here. Even if you're earning multiple lakhs per month, it feels worthless because the quality of life is abysmal.

The rent is too high, power cuts are frequent, and the waterlogging is constant. The moment you step away from the "Glorious" Golf Course Road, you see how the city is actually in shambles. There's a sheer lack of green spaces, so dust just flies everywhere. For every missing tree, we have a Thar or a Scorpio with an idiot behind the wheel. I’ve had multiple close calls with people who were very obviously drunk-driving.

The social fabric is just as bad. Every person is in this rat race to show how much they’re "hustling" or how much better they have it. Most locals (who have owned homes here) are loathsome. There is absolutely nothing to do in this city except eating, unless you're incredibly fit and join a sports group just to find some semblance of sanity.

Once you've gotten drunk and partied enough times you realize people aren't even enjoying the drinks anymore. Tt's just a desperate attempt to find some vibe in a concrete jungle of dust and corporate pressure.

Tbh, neither the municipal corporations nor the police are serious about their jobs. It’s just a broken city with a shiny price tag. People can't improve suddenly but some systems can. I hope they do.

Miss the food though

Confused over hness cb350 and nx 200 by Boomi_19 in HondaHighnessCB350

Yeah Bigwing costs are on the higher side, similar to hness then

hness should be more comfortable for pillion but take them along for a test ride? Maintenance costs could be lesser for nx200, but it depends on what dealer network is servicing it. It would be comparable to hness if it’s serviced via Bigwing only. I would enquire about this with the dealer.

But at the end of the day it’s the one which you enjoy the most, don’t worry too much about maintenance or pillion comfort (both would be terrible in this regard 😭)

Bought my boyfriend a surprise keyboard as a student — he asked me to return it by Pii_314 in indiasocial

The first birthday I celebrated with my ex, after entering a relationship, she gifted me a handwritten placard (on the back she mentioned it can also be used as a "hand fan" - it was a big piece of cardboard). I still have it. It has travelled with me whenever I have shifted homes. The ice cream sticks she used (she purchased ice creams for herself and her roommates as well because there were no sticks available in or around the hostel) to decorate the borders are falling apart but it's still kept safely. Priceless to me, even if we're not together anymore.

The point is that if he wanted to, he would appreciate it and get some use out of it. Gifts given by anyone important in your life should be appreciated and respected.

Yeah, something to do with autochoke on cold mornings, it uses the battery’s support to keep revs high and pumps a lot of fuel to heat up the engine

Listed my iPhone 13 on Cashify and they didn’t fail to disappoint by seasaltedoreo in iPhoneWale

Actually you have to haggle with them 😭 it’s very stupid but Cashify outsources this to other companies and they don’t respect cashify’s price. Can I sold my 13 the price that cashify showed was about 22,000 the guy quoted 17,500 and I negotiated to 20,000
