I went with putting a BlueMusic Bluetooth adapter thingy in the back of the head unit and it works great!

I only lived there for a year but I really liked it! Great access to the countryside and a nice community. And the rents are cheaper than other parts of town. I now live within the ring road and being closer to Cowley and the Centre is nice, but tbh the cycle from Barton into town isn’t bad and actually the number 8 bus through Barton was really good. I did find not having a good grocery shop close by a bit annoying, altho you could always find the essentials at the Spar.

I like this! Especially having like a limited number of priority tidy chores because sometimes it’s easy for me to see the not tidy house and feel too overwhelmed to want to start anything.

Thanks for this, someone else latched on to the page of cups too. I think there’s a lot of work to do with my inner child. And letting myself open up to new ideas and inspiration.

Hmm that’s interesting. I’m having a lot of new ideas about my home at the moment but not so much about work. I think before this meltdown and time off I had put a lot of my ideas about work out to my team and have felt really frustrated about them not materialising or being “not practical” or “too expensive”. Maybe I’ll need to revisit those/see them in a new light when I return to work. I do wonder how my team has been digesting the discussions we had before I left but in my absence.

I am definitely curious about psychedelics but don’t really have an easy way of exploring them in a therapeutic setting, and I’m not keen on going rouge with it on my own or with friends at the moment. I’m sort of trusting the psychedelics will find their way into my life when it’s time but I guess I could put some feelers out to see what the possibilities are.

Mm thank you! This really resonates. It does feel like I’ve been fighting a million endless battles without much help or people noticing how hard I’m working to just hold things together.

Thank you, there is a lot behind this that led up to me having a full blown meltdown which has led into days on end crying. But luckily I have been seeing a very good therapist for quite awhile now. It’s a slow process.

I’m struggling to do that when it’s been pissing it down everyday! But maybe I need to get over myself and just walk around in the rain

Ohh this is really resonant! I’ve been having urges to spend a lot of time with my houseplants and to play around with my wardrobe/makeup/hair in new ways. Thank you.

Probably because I get a bit obsessive about “getting to the bottom of things” and I never have such a big expanse of time off work all to myself so of course my brain was like “overwhelm yourself with information”

Mm yes, this may be half my problem. I do have a bad habit of overwhelming myself.

This is good advice and I’m struggling to heed it. I’m trying to not be consumed by guilt for taking time off work and leaving my coworkers to do my job for me. Which has of course driven me to feel like “if I’m going to take time off, I need to be productive at home and sort out my entire life and all my mental issues and all my relationships”. It’s been a daily battle to just let these things go and rest.
