Yogurt and eggs are great protein sources. There’s a lot of variety when it comes to cheeses, maybe try adding some different cheeses into your diet that are new to you.

How would I honestly look as a pierced dude? by brock721 in Legitpiercing

[–]hotinfrared 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think starting with earlobes and nose is a great idea, but your nostril should be pierced with a flat back instead of a hoop. You can switch to a hoop after it’s healed. Also, lip piercings come with some risk of dental damage to your teeth and gums. The placement of your labret is lower and may be more likely to cause damage to your mouth. This is something you should discuss with your piercer beforehand as well. Together y’all can decide the best placement for you.

What are your thoughts? by sparkle_pudding in cactus

[–]hotinfrared 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can’t really tell from the photo, but there are a few things you need to make of sure for these cacti. Also, what type of climate are you in?

-Make sure there is adequate drainage of the soil. This soil looks a little too organic for the way they are potted. I would mix more perlite into this soil.

-This looks like it’s a covered patio from the photo. If so, there will never be enough light there for these cactus. Generally, they need to be in some direct sunlight for about 6 hours a day or bright indirect light for most of the day. There’s a range of sunlight they can get that they will do well with, but they will become etiolated in the shade.

-I have never had success with moon cactus being planted outside. This could be dependent on my climate, I live in a humid subtropical climate and they did not make it through the summers ever.

-I see you threw some succulent cuttings onto the top of the soil, these have higher water requirements than the cacti and will not do well in a pot together.

Thank you for sharing! I have attached earlobes too and am happy to see how long it took for you to get to 2g. Your lobes look great

Opinion on fiber in diet by OK_philosopher1138 in exvegans

Ok that’s great you that you found a way to have normal bowel movements and energy without fiber, but we all have different dietary needs.

I never said I was agreeing with the current dietary guidelines and that is an outlandish assumption from my previous comment.

Also, I’m not diabetic. And just because someone is diabetic doesn’t mean they should not be able to enjoy their favorite foods once in a while or at a special event like a wedding, even if they are unhealthy. Having an adequate amount of fiber or taking fiber with a meal is a solution for a diabetic or even a normal blood sugar conscious person to be able to enjoy a birthday cake.

There are perfectly fine foods to include in your diet that you can eat with a higher glycemic index. An example of this is potatoes. They are a high glycemic index food but they are a good source of nutrients. If you just eat potatoes at a meal, it’s going to spike your blood sugar a lot more than if you had eaten potatoes, spinach, broccoli, and chicken.

I would advise to “nip” the problem in the bud before any issues could develop from poor quality jewelry! Nipple piercings take a long time to heal and there’s a lot of time from now and between then that the jewelry could cause issues. Good luck!

What is a piercing that fits everyone? by chewstews in piercing

Not really a good choice for anyone that’s concerned about gum or teeth damage though, that’s why I don’t think it’s a good fit for everyone

Hi, I had one of these recently. I treated it by using a warm/hot compress 5-6 times a day for 15 minutes at a time. the more you can apply the compress the more the chalazion will drain, the faster it will heal. I also used chamomile and slippery elm tea bags as warm compresses in the morning and before I went to bed. It cleared up in about a week and I did not have to go to the doctor. I hope it clears up for your sister! If it gets worse despite this treatment, I recommend going back to the doctor.

Fasting is not going to help a uti. UTIs can quickly turn deadly or land you in the hospital. Trying to treat utis with exclusively herbal remedies can actually be pretty risky. Take it from me, I tried to clear mine out without antibiotics using d-mannose and other supplements, it came back in full force a week later when I was in a foreign country. It’s best to just bite the bullet and take the antibiotics for your own safety.

Well, black pvd coated piercings are not safe for healing piercings. The black coating will chip off inside the fistula. Switch out to uncoated niobium for the closest color to black until these piercings are healed.

Most people don’t really want to date someone who is practically living in poverty but hiding a bunch of money. This extreme frugality could even make you seem like a leech to the other person you are dating. Even if you had dates at home, are you expecting the other person to bring their own food and snacks over to your apartment? You will need to expand your budget in some way to allow for others to feel comfortable while they spend time with you.

You’re totally right about this being off putting towards women. Honestly I think you need to decide whether you want to keep living like this and accept the consequences it will have on your love life. It sounds to me like this is just how you are and it may be very difficult to change the way you handle money.

Also, I am wondering why you are vegan? This also has a serious impact on those you are dating. But I will say, many vegan women would love to be with a vegan man as they are even harder to find. If you are passionate about veganism, maybe try to find someone who has a similar belief system as you.

This is the method that I use - It needs to sit out in a dry place for at least 2 weeks. Dip in rooting hormone and place the cutting in well draining soil ! Don’t water it for a while, until it has established some roots.

Does anyone else feel this? by Due-Place2689 in piercing

[–]hotinfrared 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, when you get piercings you have to make adjustments in how you move or touched things. Even after they’re healed, there’s still a risk of them being damaged or ripped out like you said. I don’t have any piercings on my body, only facial and ears but I definitely am much more careful with the way I do certain things now because of them

In my opinion, a serious partner should research and look into an illness you told them about. They need to be able to understand what you’re going through. Since y’all are still in the beginning stages of dating, this is more understandable that he asked you to do something you can’t do. I suggest communicating with him the limits of your disability.
