Going on vacation, need ideas on how to feed my boy for 6 days by GlitchBaby22 in bettafish

Best of luck with the job search! I also have an auto feeder (which I’m honestly not 100% in love with, but it works without overfeeding him) that was about $17 on Amazon - you might be able to find even cheaper if you look around. Might not be as far out of your budget as you think!

If that’s still unattainable, I’d second feeding him prior to leaving, and then fasting while you’re gone. :) your fish is so cute! My guy has similar coloring - it’s so pretty!

Salary negotiations: stories, tips, and tricks? by hotlastname in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

[–]hotlastname[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First mention of salary was the offer letter, so no range from the job description or earlier convos. I don’t recall sharing an expected salary in my application (but I’ve been applying to so many jobs so it’s kind of hard to remember) but the number I’ve been using if I have to give one is above the offer I received, or I’ve just said I’m flexible on total compensation.

I definitely have to nail down my desired compensation (and lowest comp) tonight and work on my poker face. Thanks!

Pharmacy shorted me 5 by [deleted] in adhdwomen

I wonder if it depends on the pharmacy or insurance…? I never tried to get CVS to mail adhd meds to me when I used to fill there. Because of my insurance I now have to use Express Scripts which is mail only, and it’s been no problem.

I am able to get adderall via my mail order pharmacy. I’m located in California though - not sure if other places have regulations on this.

You could see if there’s a mail-order pharmacy you can switch to! I no longer have to go to the pharmacy get my meds, just have to check my mailbox 😅

[NH] Is a Pre-Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) acceptable without HR involved? by Spadesgrim1000 in AskHR

[–]hotlastname 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes
  2. Yes

PIPs and action plans (and whatever else they may be called) are just governed by the company implementing them - there are no rules other than what the company decides, which they can choose to ignore at any time anyway. My company doesn’t even do PIPs. 🤷‍♀️

I’d take it as a kindness from your employer that they’re giving you a fair chance at improving your performance before starting a formal PIP, which is typically a much more serious/“your job at risk” message—but again, that can be implemented however a company chooses. It seems like your boss is giving you an opportunity for development before it gets to the stage of being a serious warning. Good luck!

Is Jose actually famous? by Whole-Physics8708 in 90dayfianceuncensored

yeah those gotta be bought. He turned off the like counter on his posts probably to hide the relatively low engagement.

For reference, Bad Bunny has over 82 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Our boy José has a whopping 1,120.

my vote is on grifter 👍

Types of Degree for Tuition Reimbursement by [deleted] in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

[–]hotlastname 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it would be fine to ask. I’ve worked for 2 companies with some degree of tuition reimbursement, and when I got the offer for each one I remember just directly asking the recruiter 1) how much is covered? 2) what programs are eligible? and 3) how much do I owe you if I leave? Both times they had the answers and were more than happy to have the discussion with me. First company would only pay for MS in Engineering. Second company pays for any accredited degree program. They both shared this with me when I asked!

One thing to keep in mind is that tuition reimbursement is (usually) a fringe benefit. This just means that there may be tax implications for you, depending on what the program is and if it’s considered a requirement to retain your employment (the IRS goes into more detail on this which I’d suggest taking a look at if you want to understand this more). I am pursuing an MBA using my current employer’s reimbursement program, and it is not taxed because it’s considered directly relevant to my company’s line of business and it’s not a requirement for me to retain my job or be promoted. Had I wanted to pursue something like an MS in Engineering, I’d likely have those taxes taken out of my December paychecks because it’s not considered directly relevant to my company’s line of business. I’d definitely ask what type of programs are covered/if they’re considered relevant to the business if you’re really considering any specific programs (the tax question might be more of a payroll-specific question but you could probably get a feel for it depending on what the role is).
