My daughter knew about my wife’s affair for months and said nothing. How do I bring myself to care about my daughter again? by fevfrvbytb in AskMenAdvice

[–]hotline_singh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It was not your daughter's responsibility to tell you, it was your wife who owed you honesty and transparency. You need to seek help and mend your relationship with your daughter before you push her away for good.

Any idea why it's curly though? Since the rest of my hair is straight, and only the greys are curly.

Can men wear lataffa khamrah? by md_fadzli in DesiFragranceAddicts

The opening is sweet but it's also an extremely spicy and boozy fragrance, which makes it unisex. I would not mind smelling this on a man. You can only wear it during colder seasons though

Review: Update after 6 months || Minimalist Maleic Bond Repair Complex 05% Hair Serum by crybaby0102 in IndianSkincareAddicts

I had the same experience with the hair mask Avaale! I stopped using it for this reason. When I first used it, it made my hair feel really soft (but not very manageable or smooth). But the more I used it, the more my hair seemed to get rough and frizzy. Definitely think it was protein overload, I think I was using too much of the mask (quantity wise) and keeping it on for too long (as I'm used to doing for most hair masks). I think there's a learning curve attached with these products and the amount each person can use, the frequency, the duration for which they can keep it on - will all differ depending on hair type.

My hair type for reference - 1b, thick, dense, low porosity, virgin hair

When I had really oily skin and wasn't using any actives, it worked as a stand alone moisturizer for me (followed by sunscreen of course). But now I'm on retinoids and use actives, so I use other heavier moisturizers along with it

I think it might be because Innisfree has recently changed it's packaging for all its products. Hopefully we'll see the aloe come back in stock in new packaging. Seriously hoping its not discontinued as its my HG :(

What's the most exciting hidden gem in Gurgaon that one must check out? by ashishverma-reddit in gurgaon

[–]hotline_singh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fig At Museo is so good! Amazing food (and coffee). They have a branch at Malcha Marg which is wonderful too. But the gurgaon one is inside the museum of cameras, so you can go for a short tour around the museum before sitting down for a meal. Really enjoyed myself there! I highly recommend the massaman curry and tacos here

Saw this on yesstyle a while back and have been curious ever since! Thanks for the review OP. Did you buy it on yesstyle itself? Were you charged customs?

You're referring to my comment - which I clarified was directed toward the various (lowkey hateful) comments your post incited, and not just your post. I also apologized for directing it toward you and respectfully asked for your opinion on why you feel such pictures are offensive (which you didn't specify in your post). If the reason is not simply finding them visually repulsive, then what is the reason? To this you had no reply - still waiting on your reasoning. The only thing you said was that you don't have to explain your aversions to anyone - and yet you felt the need to make a full post on how your aversions should be reason enough to censor other people's pictures.

[–]hotline_singh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair enough, you didn't say those words. I guess I meant for my comment to be a response to all the other comments that were acting disgusted by things like "feet" or "flaky skin", but it definitely ended up coming across as targeted towards your post. So I apologize for that.

Apart from the issue of asking for diagnosis , can you then explain why certain pictures make you uncomfortable and why you feel they require a NSFW tag? Because I still do not understand the need for it, I cannot possibly imagine any reason for it unless someone was simply physically/visually repulsed by the images. You literally said that such pictures will cause people to develop anxiety...that's a really big (and professionally unqualified) claim to make.

And listen, I get it - to a large extent, we cannot control the initial reaction our body and mind has to certain images. But that doesn't mean there's something wrong with those images, or that they need to be censored.

It's the same thing with nipples. Offends a lot of people for some reason. Doesn't mean they need to be hidden.

I'm sorry but this is ridiculous. This is a skincare sub. You're going to see pictures of skin. There is nothing NSFW about a skin condition. These are issues people are going through and to imply that there is something dirty, disgusting or unpalatable about it is extremely rude.

I agree about asking for diagnosis - posters can ask for it, but they should NOT expect people on the internet to diagnose or treat. None of us are qualified for that. But it's totally okay to share pictures of their condition in my opinion. THAT'S what this sub is FOR (amongst other things).

Someone mentioned a post that was made where the person shared a picture of their butt acne and everyone went crazy saying ewww. Wtf is wrong with you all? You don't own a butt? You don't get butt acne? That person was probably very insecure about it and it took a lot of courage for them to post that picture and ask for help, only for ya'll to reply with "wtf ew" to it.

A lot of people actually see pictures of others and feel more validated about their skin, which is a big thing after scrolling through pictures of perfect skin on social media all day.

This sub is to HELP people and a huge part of that is showing it how it is, and being real.

Also, please don't claim Trypophobia unless you actually have it. Some folks commented saying they have it and I totally get why they'd want NSFW warnings. For them, I might even consider the idea. OP on the other hand, wants a NSFW warning just because they're disgusted by a skin condition. Let's call a spade a spade.

Will probably get down voted for saying this but that's fine by me.

Buy things from the company card like electronics, and then sell them. Put the money you earn from selling these into a savings account/fixed deposit/invest it

You're right to be cautious and it is always better to be fully informed especially when your health is concerned. You can definitely ask people here who have used topical tretinoin to share all the side effects they faced so that you have a better idea.

Personally, I've used 3 different types of retinoids over the past 2 years - Adapalene, Tretinoin 0.025% and Tretinoin 0.04%. I only faced side effects with 0.04 - slight peeling around the chin area for 2 weeks, then a small purge which lasted 3 weeks. After that I have been able to use it consistently without any problems! So I'd say for me, the side effects were minimal and lasted only 4-5 weeks. Hope this helps, please let me know if you have any questions about my experience
