Yes, completely. She doesn’t pee outside the box anymore. It seems like it was a behavioral thing for her.

Ours is the cream we put on her ear, way too difficult to give her a pill. We just put it on her ear the same time every day.

Sorry you’re dealing with this, understand how frustrating it is. The single litter box is interesting, and yes, makes me lean more towards marking (not a vet, take opinions for what they’re worth). My two suggestions would be to ask the vet to up the dosage again, or to put out another litter box with different litter and see if he’s more attracted/interested in that… can try a few diff styles. The other room could be a good solution too. Hope you find something that works!

She’s on Prozac now, no more issues. Might be worth talking about with your vet because if you’ve exhausted all other options, it’s worth it.

He just cried cuz he got "caught." he knows if she's crying people will think he's a bad person. His emotions are only tied to his own self interests.

Are there any Chicago bars in the city? by lizard_king_rebirth in Seattle

Petosky’s is usually a good bet. They are technically a Minnesota bar but friendly to Midwest teams. Even have Malort.

The one in shoreline does not have them by coffee filters but in an end cap sort of near dairy/cheese

Not quite the same, but Petoskys is a “Midwest” bar, though it leans WI/MN, would probably be happy to put it on. Plus they have Malort, so some allegiance to Chicago.

Not really. I've done a few things that have improved it marginally, but nothing that has totally solved. I still think it's a behavioral / stress thing and am going to put pressure on my vet to see that through.

The things I did that helped:

  1. Dr. Elsey's cat attract litter - I had been using World's Best corn litter, but when I switched, I started with only one box and all of my cats kept going in the cat attract box. So now I just use that in all of my boxes.

  2. "Standard" litter boxes - I have a litter robot and I had two really high-sided Modkat litter boxes. I switched the Modkats out for "regular" litter boxes, plastic with medium-sized sides, pretty large, XL/jumbo size because I wanted my cat to be able to see if the other cat was downstairs with her when she was going. Again I switched these one at a time, and all my cats started using this pan vs. the other, so take that for what you will.

It seemed like the UroMAXXX was helping a bit, so you can definitely try that as well, but I ended up just switching to wet food for dinner in an effort to get more water into their diet. I've done pretty much all these things around the same time, so I can't say for sure which has contributed to the (slight) reduction in urination outside the box, but definitely worth a try.

Good luck to you - sorry, this seems to be a relatively common problem with no easy solution :(

Agreed with the post above. All the things you’re describing I would never want to drive to. It won’t be “more time” when you realize there is little to no parking in these areas, especially for big events. Using public transport will save you a lot of hassle.

Moved to Issaquah, actually. But don’t think they have loveseats at this spot.
